Need Art for Occupy!

Soooo...I've been doing stuff for Occupy lately. Specifically, I'm participating in a collaborative project between several Occupy movements called Occupy Trading Cards. The goal is to produce trading cards that have art on one side and tips on the other- things like how to make food for large numbers of people, how best to interact with officials, etc. We're hoping that people will trade them with each other, thereby spreading new ideas between different groups.

But we need art for the cards! We're just getting it off the ground, and we need several example pieces. I've volunteered to do one, but it'd be nice to have a variety of art styles. So if this sounds like the kind of thing you'd be interested in doing and would like to draw one or more cards, just drop me a PM or send an email to info@occupytradingcards.org

yep! They're very much still around here. They're a bit quieter atm due to winter...but lots of protests coming up in Spring

Of course they were. We don't have a 99% for them to protest on behalf of. We have something more like 20% of the population own 60% of the wealth. Not quite equality, but much closer to it! They were still rabbitting on about being part of the 99% even though the 99% wanted nothing to do with them. Funniest things I heard from ours were when they demanded that the Melbourne Council set up free wifi for them while they were camped out in the Treasury Gardens, and people driving in from out of town to spend a few days shopping, etc, and leaving their cars at the carpark and just camping in with the Occupiers to save money on hotel bookings!


But anyway, MixedMyth, I hope your card cause goes well.

I'd have a hard time imagining how they would. Perhaps if there's a meal preparation card addressing meat or some such, but Occupy is usually pretty good about being inclusive of a variety of lifestyles so I find the prospect unlikely. Anyway, I'll add you to the list of potential people and be in touch with a possible card, how's that?
