Newsbox concepts
Ok, so I've been working on a few ideas for a newsbox even though I'm not sure how to put one up on the site, but I thought I'd see which one everyone prefers.
Constructive comments welcome.

I would click any of them just because of the title but the ship and the sunset don't really show your art style and I like to see a sample of the characters in a banner.
The first one is pretty cool: badass flame, bright colors and the robot's in it. The ones with Pigstein would be equally good if the background was something other than gray.

Ok. N00b moment here. Log into site admin>There's the link that says "Promo/Banner/Newsbox/Pog/Chan images">There's a box for uploading files.
So that seems obvious but I'm not sure how it knows which one you want to upload (Promo/Banner/...etc.). Does it just base it on the picture size? And do they get manually processed? So should I post it now so as it wont be ready before Sunday (official launch day) anyway?
Also, I know somewhere someone was saying that the comitee for making Chans isn't very active anymore, is that true of the Pogs/Newsbox as well?
And this is a whole bunch of questions that should really be in the other forum but its connected to this one so I've left it here.

"This might take a few days, it may take a few weeks. Once it is approved, the "No" will change to a "Yes" and your newsbox image will be in circulation."
I waited 3 weeks back in 2009, I don't believe things have gotten any better since then.

Heh. See told you I was being a N00b. There was even a tutorial I forgot to re-read and I'm normally quite good with them. I went for the First one in the end. It probably makes the comic seem cooler than it really is up at least people will have to read it before they figure that out.

That's no problem, everyone's doing that.robotthepirate wrote:Heh. See told you I was being a N00b. There was even a tutorial I forgot to re-read and I'm normally quite good with them. Re: Newsbox concepts
As is, the 1st one, but the 3rd one has alot of potential. If you lightened it a little (so the black ship doesn't get lost in the dark blue sky) and maybe put your character on the deck...

Also I find that adds that have like ten times better rating are those that contain sex in some form

Lol, I have no idea how that would even work.McDuffies wrote:Also I find that adds that have like ten times better rating are those that contain sex in some form
Re: Newsbox concepts
I find myself liking the 2nd one the most. When I figure out exactly why that appeals to me more than the others, I'll be sure to let you know.
