I think boxcars are an even better vehicle (excuse the pun) for expression of graffiti. I see so many great examples riding past my house that I'd never see otherwise.

So yes, I live by the train tracks. Come visit me.

Banksy's movie was OK, I just didn't care for MBW. Art by committee or subcontact is not my bag.

The fact that it remains illegal and likely always will be ensures graffiti will always be at least a little bit dangerous. But I think the bell's been tolling since Basquiat started selling paintings.
But that's the way things go, isn't it?
It is. Not criticizing, just saying.

And rap is awesome.

Hrm... I was gonna follow up with yet another music-related parallel, but you didn't give me space.

When Mrs. Bunny and I take our vacations visiting family and friends in Canada. We like to take the train from her family's house in Oshawa to downtown Toronto, and one of the things I like doing is looking at the graffiti art that dots buildings here and there between the two along the route. Some of the designs are very simple, some are really showpieces, but all of them are actual art. I dunno... It seems like there's more actual art up there than the graffiti around here, that seems be nothing more than boring, ugly tagging. Maybe that's just me, tho.

I am terrified just to think what kind of time and effort went into making it. Just thinking of how they managed to have some light source consistency...
Also they must've vandalised a whole block of buildings with something that didn't look as impressive afterwards. And in the middle of daylight.

Most of the fade outs / explosions seemed to leave the buildings one color afterward. Given the look of the neighborhood, I doubt there was much room for complaint.
