(reads latest strip)
I've got a feeling Pip is not going to like what Little Seras is going to tell him... but I'm certain he'll help her through!

And right now Pip's going: "Great, this is going to be one of the HARD talk throughs." He'll probably want a degree in psychology when this is done.
Re: An Eye for An Eye
It's creepy being able to see Pip's right eye. then again I have the same thoughts looking at younger versions of Captain Harlock that still have both eyes as well.

I just realized that whenever I'm bored (or have things I should be doing but feel like putting off *cough*workingonanimation*cough*) I go back and re-read my favorite SHINE storylines, something I've never done with any other comic. Guess you could say I'm addicted to SHINE (or at least that it's my favorite webcomic, lol). *goes back to reading*
Also, I can't wait to see what goes on with Pip in er... wherever the the heck he is. *eagerly awaits*

poor girl got mistaken for a bystander she should go along with it and not get chard by Honlon.
Re: An Eye for An Eye
Miss "Bouncy" (as some of the ROD TV fans nicknamed her) seems less bouncy here. Maybe because she's younger here than in the TV series? Also, looks like Doc didn't have time to get the brainwashing done. Poor guy - why must his science be rushed by those who don't understand?
I'm wondering if there's a monster lurking in Seras's head. Something similar to what Alucard has.

Seven years younger. The TV series takes place in 2006; this is 1999 ^_^Xuanwu wrote:Miss "Bouncy" (as some of the ROD TV fans nicknamed her) seems less bouncy here. Maybe because she's younger here than in the TV series?

You know, I have to say that Erin is doing a really good job at giving Young Seras a traumatized look. The way those eyes are done combined with the slightly different speech font are really effective together.

.....I completely picked the wrong week to do a rape storyline in the RPG I'm in.
But yeah, second to that, Chaos.

...I can't help but share Pip's sentiments. Helping someone overcome a phobia is one thing, but to delve this deeply into the trauma that caused it...it's not gonna be pretty. Even so, if anyone can help Li'l Seras and Big Seras out of this, it's Pip. This kind of therapy requires a loving hand that knows yours well.
Thirded, Chaos. I really just wanna scoop up Seras and hug her till the pain goes away...

Re: An Eye for An Eye
Yeah, but given how a part of the trauma is witnessing her mother being raped I'm not sure physical contact is such a great idea...Brynnie-chan wrote:I really just wanna scoop up Seras and hug her till the pain goes away...

Even dead, Pip is still awesome.
And this revelation also filled in holes into Seras' characterization for me. Bravo, Erin.
FYI, every time I click on the "discuss this storyline" link, I'm dumped into the "I declare a World War" thread instead of this one.

I think the last few strip are scarier in their own way than the original sequence in Hellsing.

Re: An Eye for An Eye
I've contacted the thread about the update snafu. They say it's been corrected, but I still get Wednesday's strip.

Re: An Eye for An Eye
You've graduated? Congratulations! I have to admit I'm a bit jealous as it's still gonna another year before I can get my Bachelor's, and who knows how long after that it will take me to get the Master's I'm after. So much school, so many essays... *shudder*
So out of curiosity what degree have you got now?

*is mildly peeved at ComicGen right now*
In the meantime, you can see the backlogged strips here.
