War Was Begining
War Was Begining
New thread for what seems to be a new storyline. And England goes to Hell in the hand basket. Whee...

Re: War Was Begining
That's one of the things that bugged me. The modern military is VERY GOOD at blowing stuff up, and sufficiently powerful explosives have been shown to be as good or better than silver bullets. I can't believe that a thousand elite British infantry can't take on a few dozen infantry; they should rip them apart with sheer bulk of ammunition expendature alone. Remember what happens to Alucard at the beginning of Volume 1? I doubt your average freak would be able to get up from that.
Besides, the military has grenade launchers. If an M203 doesn't kill one, what would?

if the military can blow everything up...Hellsing would have nothing to do.Open_sketchbook wrote:That's one of the things that bugged me. Alucard and Seras would be very bored.

I think the whole "large chunks of the military were seduced into becoming vampires" twist is meant to counteract that...Open_sketchbook wrote:That's one of the things that bugged me. yeah, not only have it been shown that the military has vampires IN it, but with inside men they have, any war minded individual would think to "borrow" some of those vampire killing explosives and forget to return them,or simply "dispose" of them for "faulty" tech. thus leaveing the military without alot of said explosives.SailorPtah wrote:I think the whole "large chunks of the military were seduced into becoming vampires" twist is meant to counteract that...Open_sketchbook wrote:That's one of the things that bugged me. and lets not forget the information cutoff. remember: these people have had alot of time to sink their teeth into a large amount of people. even if half the military wasnt vampires, the few they'd have gotten in would be higher rank. the ability of a few high rank individuals would make up for lack in numbers. they know war, and how to screw over their opposition for max slaughter of england: cut them off from help and info. i remember a quote about how informantics was the lifeblood of a countries military or something..........
anywayyyy~
let the bloodbath begin!
Re: War Was Begining
I think it was generally implied that Millennium had sufficiently infiltrated enough positions in the international military to ruin their communications and throw everything into disarray. Weapons such as planes and bombs do you no good with no one to tell you where they should go.
Honestly, of the three leaders present - Integra, Penwood, and Joker - I would be mostly focused on Integra, too. She's the hot chick! Male vampires always go for the hot chick.

Late update today?? I've tried refreshing a dozen times.
Plus you gotta remember Virgin blood is appearently D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S and gives you strength( remember Seras) So why wouldn't they go for Integra?Honestly, of the three leaders present - Integra, Penwood, and Joker - I would be mostly focused on Integra, too. That and she's the leader of the organization meant to stop people like them, so of the three taking her out would be the best move tactically speaking as well. Not that getting the others while there at it wouldn't be a much better idea. Anyway, in response to today's comic:
Only three more kidnappings before she gets her honorary princess certificate

"Ah, but I am a master of unarmed combat!"
Re: War Was Begining
Judging by the quotation marks used around the words they must not get much farther than getting her out of what ever room she was in at the time. That or most of them happened when she wasn't head of hellsing

My guess is that the only times she has been sucessfully kidnapped were the times where she WANTED to go with them. The rest were TPKs on the part of the kidnappers.

I know there are some people managing to download this thing, because I've uploaded it more than three times over so far. So here's the request:
1) Even if you have the manga from other sources, get the torrent and do the downloading. (For those of you who already have the Hellsing manga - this also has Coyote! And The Dawn!)
2) Once you have the files, leave the torrent open and keep seeding!
Surely there are a couple of y'all on the forum with spare bandwidth. Lend your fellow fans a hand.

Oh hell, Erin, look what you did! My inner Walter fangirl is now running around squeeing in delight over the last panel (and rambling about how "Walter will always belong to Hellsing and be awesome and loyal and EEEEEEE--" and that nonsense. )
Gundam Wing has hot guys, kick-ass women and mechs. Hellsing has hot guys, kick-ass women and guns. ^_^ Ah, the joys of anime.
