Andre's Campaign; The Reboot!

Alright, ladels and gentlesirs, from a combination of arrogance and gratified pride, Andre has decided to make a thread about his rebooted campaign!

After taking careful examination of everything that didn't go perfect with the last campaign, Andre took a pair of pruning shears to his work, ingested two bottles of Absinthe shaken with Cerole Spice and got to work in totally tweaking the system of his last campaign! "But will this change my fundamental experience?" you might ask, restating a qustion that has already been answered. "Yes", I reply, although with utmost confidence that the changes made are for the better, having taken direct input from YOU! And by YOU, I mean Niko.
"Will there be more options for me, the player?" you might ask, making this article a longer read. "Why yes, the options for creating a ahcaracter have been almost tripled!" I answer, giddy in a very Gene Wilder manner.
"What about the black and whi-" you would start to ask before getting interrupted by the "BANG" that my revolver of literary dominance makes when it shoots someone who is asking question that can be answered by reading the list below.

• All races have been expanded threefold, each offering several different racial aspects that can be decided.
• One brand new race that none of you have ever seen before!
Five Six new EXCITING CLASSSES!
o The Moonscythe
o The Brawler
o The Astral Summoner
o The Myrmidon
o The Bloodkain
o The Bane Arrow

• Less gray morality and more killing things.
• Larger and more epic combat inspired by movies such as Braveheart, The Great Yokai War, Vampire Hunter D and New Moon!
• Canon ending! So your old characters actually do stay in the fight!
• Reworked feat list!
• More Hyperboles!

You stole one of my ideas! I dreamed that one day I would have a good enough idea in D&D for someone to want to steal it for their own campaign! I feel giddy!

And I can't wait to give this thing a whirl!

Glad to hear you say that.

So, could you give us a quick rundown on the races you have so far? I want to have something more solid to begin developing my character non-rules-wise.

There are six primary races which consist of
• Dhampir
• Human
• Golem
• Lycan
• Vampire
• Malphas


Each race has three subraces.
So it's like having eighteen races total.

Born of a vampire mother and a human father, spent most of his life in Switzerland. He lived a fairly happy life with only one tragic instance. His mother was a French woman turned into a vampire after being born a human and his father was a Swiss clock maker. Rafael was born and raised in a village named Ruthelburg. His childhood was fairly uneventful, and with the exception of the occasional slur against his race Rafael got along remarkably well with the other children. One day however when he was eight a plague swept through town killing many of the children in town, it was in this moment that a doubt was planted in Rafael’s heart. “How could so many children die?” “How could it all be part of a divine plan?” “How could god be so apathetic?” And it was in that early age that a horrible thought came to Rafael, as he stood there surrounded by stones with the names of children he used to play with etched into them he said to himself three words that sent chills down his spine, “God… is… dead…” Rafael continued on with his life seemingly a normal child, but behind his parents back he was slowly learning to use his innate vampiric abilities and slowly becoming a Bloodkain, the process was long and arduous but he kept going because of how good the successes he had would make him feel. His father wanted him to become a clockmaker like him and took him in as an apprentice and taught him basic clockworking and how to make simple mechanisms, but this was not the life that Rafael wanted. Rafael was stricken with wanderlust, and in general a desire to be a hero, and in his more philosophic moments he would even think of how even though god abandoned everyone, he would not. After months of working up the nerve to tell his father, he finally told his dad about all his dreams of seeing the world and helping everyone in it. His father did not even say a word; he only shook his head and left the room. For the next few weeks Rafael made preparations to leave on his journey, but he still felt guilty, for his father had yet to share a word since Rafael told him. Finally at the day of Rafael’s departure his father stepped forward and handed him a package. Inside was the most beautiful pocket watch Rafael ever saw, the front was adorned with a carving of a great knight standing stalwart against innumerable evils surrounding him. “Open the watch,” his father said. Rafael opened it, the inside was a carving of a scene he would always hold dear, Rafael and his parents standing on the front step of their home, but there was more, on the inside cover of the watch were three lines of text “Once upon a time…” “…” “And they lived happily ever after.” Rafael was brought to tears by his father’s gift, they embraced as his father said, “I figure that you’ll fill out the middle part for yourself. Just know that when you’re done you’re mother and I will be waiting for you.”

@ Jake. There aren't hawk Lycan, but there are Eagle Malphas. Which are fundamentally Hawk Lycan.

@ Jake: There's Cursed Lycan, which are humans who have been infected with Lycanthropy and therefore have the least Lycan properties. There's Half-Form Lycans, who's default form is a half-shifted Wolf-like creature. There are wilder and more wolf-like.
Then there's Alpha Lycans, which are large predominant wolves who sometimes shift into human form. There are the strongest and the most brute of all three.

Outfit: Leather harness and holsters over bare chest, heavy wool pants, leather boots, colors varying from dark brown to dusty brown.

Base stats (Ideal)
Strength: 13
Dexterity: 18
Constitution: 16
Intelligence: 8
Wisdom: 18
Charisma: 10

Belief system (the stuff of it that can be quantified, no vices list here)
Alignment (guesstimated): Good.
Religion: Pagan, and only because he doesn't quite grasp the whole concept behind religion. He likes holidays, though.
General moral statement: “I am the hunter of evil! I will track down and bring the bullet of justice to those who would harm the innocent!”

What is the true path to victory? I say start with Flashman's stage.

-General Info-
Name: Shivnas(First) Alfresin(Al-free-sin)(Old last name) Cassivgnot(That's Cass-iv-know)(New last name)
Gender: Male
Origin: Poland
Age: 19 (25 Human years)
Race: Malphas(regular/whatever-the-hell-Xivlan-was)

-Looks-
Skin: Black as night.
Eyes: Red, glowy, but not as glowy as most Malphi, for some reason. They're almost tolerable.
Hair: Brown, but he generally keeps it under a hat or a bandana. Baldness represents power in his family.
Outfit: A lot like Xivlan's in the fact that it's a suit of black leather armor. However, he normally carries a black fedora-ish hat on him, as well as a dark green shawl and a pair of dark green leather gloves. He doesn't cover his face.

-Base Stats(Ideal)-
Strength: 12(Pretty average, if not a bit higher)
Dexterity: 18(Malphas enhanced)
Constitution: 10(Not so good)
Intelligence: 18(Damn smart)
Wisdom: 16(He knows his way around)
Charisma: 14(Not too bad looking, either)

-Belief system (the stuff of it that can be quantified, no vices list here)-
Alignment: True Neutral. He does what he wants, though he gets along with people. Later he might shift to Neutral Good or Chaotic Neutral, depending upon what happens.
Religion: Catholic. Most Malphi are, due to them being generally poor and looking to the church. However, unlike most catholics, he doesn't really let it get in the way of personal affairs, and he's nowhere near evangelistic. You could say he's not even catholic due to how un-religious he is around people. This is especially because of the raid of his village, which was orchestrated by the church. He enjoys religion, but not the church itself.
General moral statement: "Prove to me you can be helped and I'll help you."

-Talents-
-Magic. Oddly, he has a taste for books, and reading. While most Malphi in his family go off to be lawyers or doctors(HINT HINT), he decides to slave away in his study and learn about magic. This lead him to his discovery of witches and vampires, and their unbridled magic power. He studied more, and learned he could fill a loophole by gaining awesome power while at the same time not being excommunicated by the church, which he is legally bound to due to his grandfather being a bishop.
-Martial Arts. He got a bit of training during his time with the noble family.

Desired classes: Witch Hunter/Vampire Hunter(magic-based)
Favored weapons: Blades, any kind of blades. His cousin taught him how to cut things properly once. He mainly fights with a swordbreaker knife, you know, those knives with the notches in them.

-Likes-
Favorite food: Pork.
Favorite drink: Good wine.
Favorite color: Green
Other likes: Books, arcane mysteries, other Malphi, God.

-Dislikes-
Least favorite food: Nothing.
Least favorite drink: Hard liquor.
Least favorite color: White.
Least favorite thing: Fanatics.

They want him to be bigger and better, not reading books. Despite this, Shivnas continues onward and doesn't listen. That's why he left them in the first place.

Theme(battle): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1laquyj405I I really like this for a battle theme. It starts up slow, but is epic DnB goodness throughout. It also illustrates Shivnas' individuality and almost fluid battle pattern.

Bio(Bad enough to save the president):
-Shivnas was born in a small town in Poland, a community thriving with other Malphi, some humans, and the occasional Dhampyir. Like most Malphas children, he led a life of semi-poverty, often looking to the church for salvation and alms while his parents made ends meet. His mother died at childbirth, which made matters worse. When the plague hit his father, he was migrated to his cousin Xivlan's family, which was much more middle-class and prosperous than his own. With his uncle being a lawyer and his aunt a government secretary, his late childhood years were happy and carefree. Then, the raid. Inquisition soldiers raided the town, declaring the entire population to be "heathens". He and Xivlan survived with a few other Malphi, but the carnage took his new family, along with his other cousin and Xivlan's little sister. For a while, he lived with Xivlan, though it looked more like he was taking care of the poor child, as the raid traumatized him to the point where he couldn't leave his home or do anything. Saddended, Shivnas fought for survival. Oddly, his grievances were minor compared to Xivlan's. One day, a noble Frenchman came to survey the ruins of the town and picked out a few Malphas children to adopt as his own. Shivnas was one of them, Xivlan, unfortunately, was not. The other Malphas was left in the cold, and eventually pursued medicine...questionable medicine. Shivnas traveled to France, where he met his foster parents, Marie de Cassivgnot and Sir Alfred Cassivgnot. He was raised as a nobleman along with three other Malphi Alfred had taken. In that time, he got an education, studied magic, and learned some martial arts. As a teenager, he was taught French and English, along with knowing Polish due to his ancestry. Soon, his studying became almost obsessive, and Marie was worried sick about Shivnas' safety. Eventually, the Malphas simply left, taking nothing with him but his knife and his books. Despite his arrogance in leaving his noble foster parents, he respected them, and kept their last name as his own. His story begins with his travels coming to an abrupt stop...

Not distantly, closely. The two grew up together, pretty much.
