Not gone!
So, what are you guys doing before the party?
Me, I'm a going to be checking up on WoWinsider and maybe some GoBeryllium. Can't play WoW, ran out of prepaid account time, need to save up to buy another card.
I'll probably keep buying prepaid instead of subscribing even once I get a credit card/Paypal account. It forces me to cough up the funds immediately, makes me think about how much I'm spending.

We're SUPPOSED to be at a debate tournament at DCHS, but at this rate, it won't happen and I need to contact the lady who's running it, but Gmail's being a bitch and not working.

394, 110, 184.
I have no idea what happened the first time. It was as if, for a bit, everything slowed down. I was in beat. I was just... in the zone, I guess.

If school events for tomorrow are cancelled, I really hope J and Hoff decide to delay the school musical. We weren't very prepared at the beginning of THIS week, and trying to hold the show by next thursday (wednesday counting the matinee) would be a recipe for disaster.

Edit: And the last thing we need is a mod war, Andrew.

How far through did you get on that first run? Higgs Boson? Micro Black Hole, mayhaps?

100th post with current state of posting, i.e. without my ancient relic posts I bombed...

Micro black hole. It's funny- it pulls your shots into itself, so you can focus fire and dodge as much as you want.
Didn't help me through the bullet hell, though.

I'd curse Stephen Hawkings, but the poor guys already paralyzed over most of his body.
He can't even enjoy the game. I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it if he could.

Which reminds me! Chem nerd excitement go!

Element 112, which has been reported to have been discovered 13 years ago by the Dubna science department, has officially been given clearance by the IUPAC as an official element. The name stands as Copernicium, named after Copernicus.

What's better is that this information fell into my lap on the last *cough*barringsnowdays*cough* day of research, by accident. Also, even better, one of the author's of the books I was reading for my research was credited with the discovery; Sigurd Hoffman. Go super luck this week. This almost makes up for all of the Picards I've lost due to flukes...

P.S.- Hello, my name is Andrew the IceBug. You killed my topic. Prepare to die.

The essay is on the early experimentation involving the discovery of the elementary particle of an atom and how the discoveries influence transuranium element synthesis techniques.

TL;DR: Syntheic Elements, and Copernicium is one of them.

Interesting. So, what is the elementary particle of an atom? A quark? How does it/has it affect/affected the techniques used in synthesizing new elements?

Elementary particles specifically the proton, neutron, electron, neutrino, and basic antiparticle theory. And, read my essay when I'm done!
