Which reminds me! Chem nerd excitement go!
Element 112, which has been reported to have been discovered 13 years ago by the Dubna science department, has officially been given clearance by the IUPAC as an official element. The name stands as Copernicium, named after Copernicus.
What's better is that this information fell into my lap on the last *cough*barringsnowdays*cough* day of research, by accident. Also, even better, one of the author's of the books I was reading for my research was credited with the discovery; Sigurd Hoffman. Go super luck this week. This almost makes up for all of the Picards I've lost due to flukes...
P.S.- Hello, my name is Andrew the IceBug. You killed my topic. Prepare to die.
