I was browsing Deviant Art and a thought occured: MEMES seem like nice practice for our specific work with a communal appeal. How come I never see them here? Do we have a rule against it?

he didn't say he didn't like them. At least I don't think that's what he's implying, he's suggesting that perhaps your technique requires some work, and is trying to encourage you to do so. Unless he's just being a dick, in which case disregard what I'm saying. As a community people here can come off as a bit harsh when they're offering criticism, even when they're trying to be constructive. Take every comment you get about your work as "okay, how can I go about improving on that?"
