Even a portrait looks drab if its dead center for no other reason than "ITS A PORTRAIT SO THINGS TO STRAIGHT AND IN THE MIDDLE"

if your targeting someone's face as apposed to the figure the rules of framing change. thats more my point.

not all photography is a work of art. some photography is taken for function not for art. This is implied when you talk about taking photographs.
