Hello everyone!
Now that things seem to have stabilized I thought I'd pop my head in here and say "Hi, my name is Ric and I recently started posting my new comic, or, as I like to call it, my 'super-powered soap opera,' Chain of Descent here on ComicGenesis."

I hope you like it and I look forward to chatting you all up.

Hi,

Same avatar, same guy - different name. Fell into one of the potholes in registering and had to get a new profile. Still glad to be a part of this :)

My strip is up and running at http://morgananddante.comicgenesis.com although the site will be pretty grim for a while longer. Planning on a twice-a-week release schedule - see how it goes. Hope you people like it!

Good luck with your comic, Aerones! Looks neat! And I know what you mean, I have one story that's my sci-fi soap opera. (snrks)

Samuli, welcome back... I guess... snrk. Your site isn't loading. D:

Thanks! I had a lot of trouble with the update system but the site is up and running again and should stay that way since I have close to 1,5 years of material done :D

Hello everyone. I've been doing Marooned for a year but somehow missed this forum. Well, now I'm here to soak up all the webcomic goodness.

Thought I would try a post. I'm completely new to both making webpages and writing comics, so a lot of this is experimental for me.

Right now I am running a cartoony webstrip where the characters are canines, though some day I hope to write a plot-based comic.

Welcome to ComicGenesis, you two! Good luck with your cartoony strip, CynWolf--nothing wrong with doing those!

IceFlame, your intro page looks pretty cool but I have to admit your website isn't all that hot. It would probably help if your site wasn't blue background with blue links. :shifty: Granted, you're new at it. My first website was pretty tacky looking too. ^_^ Still, though, if you want some help feel free to PM me.

thanks and yeah ^^; I'm still experimenting...I've been using online tutorials and instruction sites but all I can do currently is the centering and changing the text/background colors

I just might take you up on that offer for help; one of my friends wanted to help but she's really busy lately. Thanks for the offer :D

Hey there.

I posted in the wrong spot earlier (oops), so I'm here to introduce myself properly.

My comic is SOL. I just started it today. Well, not today... but this is it's first day up. I hope people like it, as I've been working on the ideas behind it for quite a while now. Let's see if I can get a link going...

http://solthecomic.comicgenesis.com/

I hope to update weekly, since I'm drawing about a page a week. I've got almost 20 pages done as of now, so it should be a nice buffer.

I'm new at the whole html thing, so I'll be adding to the website as I go along. Hopefully in a week or two it'll look like I want it to look.

So, um, yeah. Hi an' stuff.

Just found your "other" thread Sol!
I like your stuff, I'm a fan of really bold lines and I guess the name has something to do with sun-space-thingys

I'm not going to claim expertise, but if I may give some advice, after checking your to-do list, I'd warn against plugging oneself before you have the goods to show for it. Get a few months behind your belt (or a few years if you're me!) that way any visitors you do have can see you have a detailed and rich story and can browse a few strips to see if it's their fancy. There's something perverse and satisfying about forcing new readers to swim through a deep archive!
Sometimes the failed experiments are the ones that don't try to kill you

Hello! My name is Ravyn and I hope to start a new supernatural comic soon! My artist, Tasha, and I have been working for about 2 months on the script and tools so that when we are ready everyone will be able to have a wonderful experience! It is my hope that we will be able to collaborate with other webcomic artists for crossovers and other fun events! This will be my first webcomic but my second comic overall, as I am also a published author with a manga based off my published novel, Predator Turned Prey

My username, SaffronTea, is a tribute to Gem, the leading female in my comic, who goes by that name in the MMORPGs she plays and her Blog.

Hey, you two, welcome to CG! And I agree, don't plug until you have a few pages up, that way you can hook us! 20-30 pages is a good archive to hook with... your page does look good, though, Sol!

And welcome, Ravyn! Good luck with your comic as well, and gratz on the published novel!

Hello everyone, I'm just posting this intro because I don't want my account to be deleted for having zero posts. ;)

My comic is called 'Transgirl Diaries' which focuses on trans issues (no, it's not 'gender swap'), sort of like Venus Envy. I can't really access anything right now, but I guess I'll post a link once it's ready..

Venus Envy is a pretty good comic. I suppose it'll be MTF too, though. I'd like to see a FTM comic someday. Oh well. Good luck with that! You'll probably get some haters but I enjoy reading those sort of diary about issues comics.
