[FIXED] Haven't Received Confirmation for FTP Password

@Dr Neo Lao Well I'll go ahead and get ready to set up a new account seeing as Murphy is a static effect and no longer needs to be invoked. After all when I finally decided to start putting my comics on DeviantArt and was about to scan my first comic in I found my computer filled with water. It has been completely hosed. So you won't hear me grumbling about this problem taking too long to fix.

I am also having the same problem... How will we know when it is fixed? Will the applied for password emails just be backed up, or do we need to keep checking here or keep sending that form daily?

Officially, we'll know when STrRedWolf makes an announcement. No ETA.

Unofficially, there are two possibilities:

If all the "change password" emails are sitting in a big pile waiting to be sent then when the problem is fixed all the emails will be sent out. In which case, if you've tried to change your password several times then you would be able to simply confirm the last email and ignore the others.

The other possibility is that the emails don't get sent out in which case members would only know if they read about it here in the forum (there will be a big announcement) or if they happen to try to change their password and it works.

We would ask that members not try and change their password every day.

all well, i do have mine on drunk duck and im not too happy with the way it is.. but it is up and running.. now i just need my sister to get her scanner working again.. her cat knocked it over and it shorted... or something...

but i will also wait for here to see if anything changes i was really interested in this from the get go... and hope it gets fixed soon but im patiently (especially now that have to be)

and umm, is it possible to sign up with another webcomic host although you alrdy sign up in comic genesis?
Because i am having doubts that this issue being fixed anytime soon

Of course. Many people do this, though most usually end up keeping the one they prefer and stop updating the other(s).

Usually it is only comic collectives that ask you to host with them exclusively. If you want to have the same comic on CG, Drunk Duck, Smack Jeeves and Comics Fury all at once then you can.

well, until CG starts working again, I have resorted to using another comic site. My comic is temporarily on weekly update at http://www.drunkduck.com/Arysk_and_Co/ until the technical difficulties are solved.

*pant* Finally I get a chance to work on these things!!!

First off, if you're on HOTMAIL or Windows Livemail, the chance of you getting email from us is VERY LOW. This is a problem with Microsoft's servers and not us. We've tried to contact them but apparently they would rather ignore the world (yes, other hosts are having the same *!)@#*( problems with them). So if your account is set to use Hotmail, please do this:

1. Set up a GMail or Yahoo! Mail account (although Yahoo may delay your email).
2. Email me (tygris at ye domain) using your new account, telling me your comic's domain or username, your old email address, and "DAMMIT HOTMAIL!" in the subject line. ALL THREE ARE IMPORTANT!

That way I can switch accounts over. I can verify that the new FTP password email system does work off of GMail (it's what I use myself).

Everyone else, I'm checking through.

A few notes here.

Hotmail's a pain, please contact them and complain you're not getting emails from us.

I do know G-Mail works on the FTP password changer.

What the changer does does is sets a code in your user info, and sends it to you via e-mail. If you get the email, and confirm it, your password gets offically changed. It's not quequed.

well I just tried it again, site was registered with a gmail account and I've waited about 10 minutes and still no password varification after I entered it.

And I tried to get a new password last week, and then this week again so I think that rules out delaying Dx

Okay, I need anyone on Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! IM that still hasn't gotten FTP passwords working, and they would like to help out, IM ME! My username here is the same there.
