Oh, I know precisely what's wrong with me. (I already have a counsellor at uni.) I'm just going through a difficult period. (It also doesn't help that I have exams.)

I'll be back in a week when my exams are over.

EDIT: By "precisely what's wrong with me", I mean that I know where I fit in the DSM and what medication I should be taking. I've resumed it this morning and it's working pretty well so far.

Depends on what you consider mentally ill.

I'm sure there are people out there who would think people discussing tentacle rape (or wape, depending on who you're asking) are mentally disturbed in some way... but considering that the majority of folks on here lead full, productive lives, I don't think that they should be classed in that manner. I've suffered depressive episodes in the past and have sought counseling, but I don't believe I could be considered mentally ill, necessarily.

I prefer to view it that everyone in the entire world is screwed up in some manner, so the appellation "mentally ill" is, at best, a misnomer, at worst, completely misleading.

They're shocked at both. The girl in question HATES all pornography and considers it to be male-sponsored violence against women. She is a very prissy lesbian from one of Melbourne's richer suburbs, so maybe she finds it undignified. Also, it may be because she has cerebral palsy and her own insecurities about her body have lead her to feel resentment towards women who can use their bodies to make money. Or possibly she was traumatised by something as a child.
