Discussion Topic for current story line.

The place where no good punk-asses and aimless hipsters come to discuss a rather lousy comic.

*shudders*

No steamy car scene in our future, I'm afraid.

Aw bugger.

How about a bouncy, jiggly car scene?

You're all sick. I'm quitting and starting a furry comic.

So obviously the amount of effort I was willing to put in didn't quite match my ambition for this page.

This reminds me of a conversation I had a few days ago with my BF. Turns out explaining the concept of a muse to a non-artistic geography-historian is not as simple as you'd think. :shifty:

Oh and, comic yay! :D

What, the curve of South America's Eastern coastline doesn't inspire him to greatness?

All I know is that I don't get nearly enough adoration art for someone who's supposedly the object of a young artist's affections.

Last two pages have been done with a fancy new brush pen. I'm liking the results.

Otherwise, more worthless crap.

Just outta curiosity, which fancy new brush pen is that? I’ve been experimenting with a coupla new ones lately myself (a Kuretake No. 13 and a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen, also known as a GFKP). They’re actually for calligraphy, but I like the line variation I get with them. Before that I was using a Faber-Castell PITT brush pen but the tip on that sucker lasts about 15 minutes, plus you don’t get as much variation in line weight.

Anyway, bla bla bla.

It's a Copic multiliner brush pen. I haven't tried too many brush pens, but I like this one. It's harder to get the thin lines, but that might be a good thing. I think the actual brush wasn't doing what I wanted it too anymore, and the last two pages just look a lot better than the previous ones, in my opinion.

What do you use for your thin cross hatching lines? I assume you don’t use a brush for those.

Nah, Pigma Microns, between 005 and 08. Been using those for years now.

See? I wasn't lying.

Wondering if making fog look like that was such a hot idea.

I guess I'm banking on people not reading that post until the page is up.

I assure you it is "baking," though.
