I Resolve
I know there's a resolution thread in OT, and we're already a few weeks into this new year. However, I just decided on a resolution that is very specific to my own webcomic site. If you have any late or comic-specific resolutions or plans, feel free to join in. So, here goes:
I resolve to update Hastily Scribbled at least once a week. I doodle at least a cartoon a week, and I do have some bit of backlog I could upload. I really don't give enough attention to my website, and that's a small tragedy. I'm not sure why that is, beyond laziness. As a sub-resolution, I resolve to at least think about making improvements to my site, although I kinda like the bare-bones "just the comics ma'am" quality of using the original Index code. Maybe I'll just center the whole think, and throw in a couple of line breaks...
Anyone else?

Re: I Resolve
I resolve not to give up on my comic two months after I upload it. Because I really, really would be annoyed at myself if that happens.
Of course... this also requires for me to have a website first. So I am in resolution limbo, for now.

Don't kid yourself, friend. I still know how.

Re: I Resolve
I resolve to glorify the Roman Empire with computer art. As Jesus said I should, I will render unto Caesar what is Caesar's.
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.

Re: I Resolve
But it does work considering that when you resolve to do something its a resolution.McDuffies wrote:That joke doesn't really work when the phrasing of the topic is "I resolve".

No, the exact term "resolution" has to be used by someone else. The joke is based on the mixup between two different meanings of "resolution". When the phrasing is "I resolve", meaning is clear, there is no mixup so there is no joke. Unless you say something like "I resolve crimes", for instance.

Re: I Resolve
*carefully dodges around debate*
I resolve to finish up my current storyline, do so promptly, and return to a three-day a week update schedule. I also resolve to practice perspective and background art until I am satisfied with myself, and maybe even start the Rift Rippers.

My pun was based on the content of the thread, not the title.McDuffies wrote:No, the exact term "resolution" has to be used by someone else. I resolve to leave arguments to the professionals.
Re: I Resolve
I resolve to continue doing all the things I did in 2008, namely work on my comic regularly, improve my art and storytelling skills, and have fun doing it.

I choose not to get involved in the argument, but that gave me a good giggle when I saw it. xDKillbert-Robby wrote:My resolution is 1920x1200
Anyways, my resolution is to make my comic last for real this time (even though I said that every other time I've put it back on the net).
