As some of you may know, I run roleplaying games for the keenspace IRC channel. At the request of Tellurider I'm going to be running a RP game based off Greek myth and legend. If I haven't lost your attention already I direct you to the campaign intro here. You can post your interest and/or questions here or flag me down in keenspace IRC, I'm there most evenings and nights. I intend to run this game alternating Tuesdays or Wednesdays. That is all.

The rules for PDQ talk about elements, really briefly, and then never again. Are they something we would need to be concerned with?

And what are hero points?

I might be interested in joining. I'm going to have some free time coming up...

Elements shouldn't come up. I'll brief you all if they do. Hero points are a characters extra ability to be badass. You can spend hero points to gain an upshift on a roll, an extra d6 on your roll, upshift your damage after a successful attack, regain lost failure and damage ranks in conflict, or grant you a small measure of narrative control.

They're also indirectly your experience points. PDQ isn't huge on progressive character advancement like D&D so don't expect a lot of change in your character abilities.

Sure you can play serge. I'm only going to start turning people down when I get too many to run the game.

I should mention I do expect you to all make characters that play nice with one another. I'm aware not everyone would be able to make it to a group character generation session initially so keep the characters heroic and social(ie, no loners or backstabbers. If you want to play a backstabber or another recurring antagonist let me know and I'll see what we can work out). I don't mind if you verbally snipe at each other in character but I don't want any characters dragging the game down.

Here's an updated schedule for this game for all of you interested in playing.

Finish up with Pirate RP: Dec 17th.
Make characters for Greek RP: Roll parentage or patronage by Dec 17th, have a character finished by Dec. 23.
Week of Christmas: Likely no game unless you all insist.
Start Game: Dec 31st or Jan 7th.

God(s), this sounds like a fun idea. I wish I had the time to join in. Maybe I'll just draw some pictures of ancient Greeky stuff, and post it for inspiration.
