i'm curious as to how the long the without powers dead works. if claire and sylar had died an hour before the end of the eclipse would they have come back? two hours? what's the timeframe?

Depends if they were thrown into a meat grinder.

Come to think of it,
The comic book that predicts the future stops here. Oh season finale already? But if you remember back in the episode where the guy who draws the comic book dies, he put uncolored art into an envelope and sent it somewhere.
Hiro can either travel BACK to this event and just read it, or travel forward and just figure out what to do, step on a few more butterflies either way.

Would they morph into something completely different if they were in the same one?

My question is how? I remember earlier this season he tried to cut her head open, but failed because whenever Elle undergoes extreme pain she goes atomic with her powers.

Actually unlike everything else, this was convincing. Last time it was a like a reflex panic reaction but now she was sort of resigned to it.

I would think that if someone were to cut my skull open, and I knew that I could go atomic if I panicked, that I'd work myself into a damn fine panic. If I can work myself frantic over bills and a baby, I'm pretty sure I could go ape-shit panic over someone cutting my skull open to dig into my brain.

i have to applaud the way they charactarized Daphnie. Last ep when they showed she actually had CP, made me really understand the reasonings for her characters mood changes, and living life so carefree, and so quickly. Show casing the disorder for someone who looks beautiful and young, and not what we usually get in popular media.

nice to see positive things like that.

Do the comics make more or less sense then the actual show. I've haven't kept up with them recently. Sylar is boring me. The whole flip sides and wanting to be good or bad at the drop of a hat got old fast. I hope Hiro gets his powers back so we can see more future stuff and perhaps how what's going on now is affecting the future.

Sylar is the most easy-influenced guy.

'You should be evil!'
'Oh ok' *kills people*
'No, don't be evil!'
'Oh ok'
'EVIL!'
'oh ok' *cuts off heads*

The comics almost do nothing. The comics basically tell the backstory for certain characters that may or may not appear in the series, where as once they stop appearing in the series, they may show up in the comic again, only to be killed off.

Like, Micah's grandma, died in the comic so we won't be seeing her again.
That woman who can morph into anyone else? She was introduced in the comic and then sylar killed her and THEN discovered his powers were turned off by the shanti virus. (Though in season 1, he had acquired these powers in a future timeline)

Linderman's backstory is in the comics.

There are also a few stories that are fairly self-contained, but "The German" was in one of the comics, you know the Magento-like powers, who's killed in the bank in season 3.

So no you don't have to read the comics. There is also a web-only live action series that I watched the first two pieces to and kind went "this is so bad..." Basically the live action online stuff can be described as 4 actors and one 1 video camera.
