I may be only eighteen, but I know good taste when I see it. And that good taste comes from two decades alone: The 1980's and the 1950's. You know the drill - your three favorite things from the 50's, right here, right now! I assume most of you weren't kids in the 50's, so just cough up your favorite things now.
Mine are:
1. The song "Step By Step" by The Crests.
2. The song "All In The Game" by some guy I don't know.
3. Incredibly mockable slang. Gee whiz golly, Beaver! Dad got his gosh darn head caught in the thresher again!
-Elaine "No one's probably going to post to this" Hornby

------------------

Um.
1. Of course, the slang. The slang's just funny, gosh-darn it. ;>
2. The fact that we were no longer blowing the crap out of Japan, leaving them free to begin imagining getting the crap blown out of others by giant robots.
3. Um. The Mafia?
Elaine, this is really a silly thread... you do know that, right? ;>

1. Yeah, gangsters! Gangsters in the 50's are way cool. I mean, yeah we got Puff Daddy but it's just not the same.
2. Is Frank Sinatra 50's? I always thought he was pretty cool.
3. No 3, only those 2 things were cool.

Granted, Steve, somebody must pass on the tradition of sluttiness, but must it be Brittney? Couldn't it be Christina Aguilera, who is also ungodly annoying but slightly less of an airhead?
Remember the Simpsons Halloween episode where they sent Rosie O'Donnell, Tom Arnold, Pauly Shore, Spike Lee, and similar celebrities into the sun? That's what I'm thinking.

While we're at it, let's do the same thing to Brittney Spears, N' Sync, Backstreet Boys... lots of people who can't sing or dance but somehow are making lots of money pretending to do just that. ;>

SOMEONE has to teach young girls to be slutty! Eh, I'll still take Britney over Rosie O'Donnell any day! (not that I'm a Britney fan or anything)
~Steveroni

Hmmm. Good point on the slutty comment. Although legally, you shouldn't be a slut uniil you're 18 (21 in some states, void in Utah).
I think Hell is where Rosie O'Donnell is your mom, Britney Spears is your sister, and Pat Buchanan is your dad.
------------------
