This post has nothing to do with Steverino! except that all of the characters and (I'm guessing) everyone posting here is a Starving College Student (TM), and we're all probably undergoing the wonders of finals.
I have just finished three chapters of possibly the dryest political science book in the world. It took me three hours and cost me untold amounts of time with Erin. It told me pretty much exactly what I already knew. I wanted to play more of Parasite Eve II tonight, but I have to be up at 6:00 tomorrow, and it is 12:00 or so right now. I am going to bed.
Finals suck.

Well, Eliot and Pauly, it is now 7:13 AM Eastern Standard Time, and the exam for the wonderful Professor Michael Orwicz's class is underway in exactly 47 minutes. I couldn't even SLEEP last night. Visions of the Renaissance and Jackson Pollock and Surrealism and Classicism and Neo-Classicism and Impression and Pointallism.... I'll stop now. Posting on message boards is the only thing that will rest my aching brain right now. That, and being with Steve!!!!!!!! Only 7 1/2 hours until our weekend together, and I have a PROPER 18th birthday celebration!!!!

Erin has her History exam this morning until 10:00, and from what she tells me this professor easily qualifies as one of the worst on campus. And I've got at least four hours of studying to do today for my three exams on Monday (yep... THREE on one day). Ah, well. Now I'm off to the gym, which is hopefully open, to do something that I would have gotten done yesterday if I wasn't an idiot, then waiting outside Storrs Hall for Erin to finish her final. All this with no breakfast, because the damn dining halls cater to drunk people who don't get up until noon. Grr.
I'm going to stop now, while I'm ahead. ;>

Having worked with teaching before, having a very good idea of what's involved with writing a test, and having a significant other who's working on majoring in education, I say unequivocally: FINALS JUST SUCK. For all involved.

Dana? Sounds like a new person!! Welcome to the world of "Steverino!" although the message board is a bit more the world of Elaine. Take off your coat, stay a while!

Arigatou, Elaine, but I definitely run a second to you and Steve in terms of sheer volume. You've been Cadet First Class for a while now, but I'm just starting to break into the ranks. ;>
As for why he's Prick Boy... lots of stuff over the past couple of days. Just generally being a massive prick, is all. Are you still planning on getting together Monday?

Yeah, that'll work! I think there's some sort of wack University policy here that you, if you're a teacher have to make SOMETHING up to do (if you don't have an exam for that class) for every exam period. That was the policy at my high school, at least, and it sucked.
------------------

I never said school sucks, just finals. School gets me away from Evil Aunt & Uncle, and that is a good thing.

We had the same policy in our school... I think it's like a CT mandate or something. After we had taken the AP test in AP English, we wound up sitting around and having tea for the final. Fun!

While on the topic of high school and how much it sucked, does anyone remember the CAPT Tests? I had to take them my sophomore year in high school, and they were the stupidest things ever. You didn't even have to pass them, although I did anyway. Was this just a CT thing, or do you non-CT people have something similar?
