It means... he's a "little... festive".
"He prefers the company of men."

Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
Ah.....so he likes watching football then?
Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
Exactly Pravus. Look, I'm no homophobe at all but what is it with these gay guys and their behavior, huh? So much machismo, football games and beer swilling, always pushing people around, never bathing, burping and farting in public.. What's up with that? Oh, I could go on...

It's just like Homer Simpson once said.ShannC wrote:Exactly Pravus. Look, I'm no homophobe at all but what is it with these gay guys and their behavior, huh? Heh, his mom looks so "Not this again."

Heh, yeah. Mother isn't impressed by self-starvation. Come back when you've got stab wounds.Pravus wrote:Heh, his mom looks so "Not this again."

Besides the characters and the well-paced narrative, the thing that keeps me hanging on to EOT is the question:
"What will cause Evan to break out of his denial?"
"What will cause Evan to break out of his denial?"

Ooh, update.
Evan's going on sarcasm and feigned indifference. Seems he still likes to think that not eating is not a problem.
Hmm, are nurses supposed to flirt with patients like that?

I dunno. I guess she's just being nice since he's the son of one of the head doctors there.

So immune when it comes to girls flirting with him, at least recently.Paul Escobar wrote:Ooh, update.

The indifference is strong in this one.
Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
Well. He's pretty much cornered now it seems. Whether it's enough to make him realise, hard to say.Redcrow wrote:Besides the characters and the well-paced narrative, the thing that keeps me hanging on to EOT is the question:

Poor kid.
On the other hand, he might actually partially know what he's doing. And it's a scream for help of sorts. It can stem from many issues which have partly been hinted already. Family issues, sexual insecurity, deep guilt and so on. Isn't it plausible?
Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
I think it brightens the workday for them, if they get a young and cute patient.Paul Escobar wrote: Hmm, are nurses supposed to flirt with patients like that?
I'm sure every young nurse with average or better looks has been clumsily hit upon by ugly and uncouth old bastards that fancy themselves as "colorful".
Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
She probably knows his father. Or maybe she regards Evan as a child and is teasing him a bit. Probably both.
A pretty odd way to behave otherwise.
Reminds me of my friend who went to urology and recieved a comment of approval for his nice trim... by a male nurse...
LOL wut?

Chatting up the customers is one of the perks of working in customer service plus it relaxes the customer.Redcrow wrote:I think it brightens the workday for them, if they get a young and cute patient.Paul Escobar wrote: Hmm, are nurses supposed to flirt with patients like that?

Lol I think that's a little more than reassuring the patient, if you ask me
