Upon further inspection, the pole was put into the wall with a plastic holder! God I hate the owners before us. They screwed this house up so much.
Wow, That's exactly what happened to me a while ago! Clearly they don't make closets like they used to.

Though I admit I didn't figure out what the boom was until the next day. I assumed a cat had fallen into boxes or something.

We once had a closet pole snap when i was little. There were tons of coats on it and it was bowed to hell. Then one day. SNAP!
In other news, I am going to best buy right now to get a new keyboard and burn this one. IT IS PISSING ME OFF!!!!!
Everything seems to be making me mad, I am still kind of aggravated about the paper and my comic. :(

So I drove 270 some odd miles to fort Bragg to visit a friend for this weekend. About mile 100 I realized I'm missing my cell and it's probably back at my hotel. Thankfully I've got the iPod touch with his phone # in it. Use a pay phone and give him the heads up. Now waiting for my hotel room to be ready so I can call. Also, hotels and motels are the greatest source of free wifi ever. No security to keep out non customers.

I have to stop cutting between so many tabs at the same time, I keep typing into the wrong replying pages <_<
Man, a week to apply to another course before the typical deadline for spring courses. I'm thinking of doing digital animation so I'm not bumming around and following that up with game design and development. I'd be lying if I denied the idea of making videogames tickles my pickle a little, but I was always worried that since I like videogames so much, if I got into learning how they were made and stuff, and I'd start having gaming related homework, I'd just grow to resent them. Anyone here doing the cliche DOING WHAT I LOVE thing? Also looking into Watkins down in Nashville, which I put on hold once I thought I was sorted (ho ho ho). Just need to make a movie in the next seven days and cut it together on my perpetually crashing laptop....

what are the benefits?
according to them:
Academic Recognition
Career Assistance
Awards and Scholarships
Partner Discounts and Services
Publications
Networking, Training, and Leadership Opportunities
It's worth it. It wasn't $50 per year for me though - I had to pay it just one time for life.

Anyway, I found out that many car insurance companies offer a discount if you're a member. I'm saving over $200 a year thanks to that membership.

Yeah it's something like $300 for a lifetime memebership

I don't understand postwhoring...I really don't
But then I guess that's what this thread is for...I'm confused ._.

I'm actually being really productive and have been for 2 weeks now. It's weird I actually feel like my life is mine again and all it took was for one class to drop an assignment. in crappy ranting news My SiL(husbands sister) just pisses me off by existing to the point where I've thought about going to the school counseling office to seek help but I know I can't because all of them are interns from the masters program and since my husband is an intern in behavior analysis he knows alot of the counseling interns and confidentiality isn't all people think it is.

Tried listening to some music yesterday and noticed my stereo's disc tray wouldn't open. I ended up having to unscrew nearly every screw I could find to get at the snapped rubber band that ended up being the problem...

I found the old paper journal I kept during my senior year of high school, which is weird since I thought I'd had one for most of high school, not just the last year of it. Turns out I thought that way because I filled up 300-something pages by writing in it every day :v

Anyway it got me to start keeping another paper one. Here's to another 300 pages of embarrassing material.

I keep trying to do one again. I was really good at doing them in high school too. these days I never have enough stuff to fill them out daily. but If I need to complain and be a nerd I'd rather do it in private.

I never made what I did that day the focus of my entries, more like what I was thinking at the moment.

It's easy to fill up a bunch of pages that way.

the most painful was the journals from my "goth" phase... mainly the poetry. ha ha. I find them from time to time, when I'm feeling down.

I've on occasion kept a journal in the field, and I'll certainly do one downrange. Helps keep a person sane, and its handy in case you actually ever write a memoirs.

Kitten developed a limp in a front paw. On top of that, the past few days have been thunder storms, and a 30 odd hour rain has finally stopped. I saw the kitten trying to take a nap in the trashcan, where it's warm and dry, so I went down to the basement, made a little wooden shelter, filled it with shredded newspaper and set it outside under a plastic table for added waterproofing. Just went outside to check on him again before I locked down the house, and he's still sitting there all curled up in a ball, same way he's been for the past six or so hours. Heart warming.

32 weeks along. 8 weeks left (or less). Belly button has nearly popped out & my waist is gone. Feeling more like shit - this little stinker keeps kicking the crap out of me internally. I'm surprised he hasn't cause bruises. Spending most of my days wondering if I'll throw up or pee my pants depending on the area he decides to kick. XD

Just checked my vm and my Dr. out sick for the next two weeks. Thank goodness I got in with the other Dr. in the office tomorrow. Heavens knows how hard it is to get time off at work. So I *may* get my hours back on Friday. :shifty:

Now what really irks me is that my workplace is going for major accredation in May. They decided to have little ol' me do as much as I can do in the remaining 5 weeks I'm there. They just started on it this month. Note my prior workplaces worked on this process over a year, not 6 months. I just looked at revised standard 2 of the 10 standards and it's about 20 pages long with substandards. Oh hell. I just curious who's going to do it while I'm out. I sure as hell don't want to be scrambling to get the other 8 standards done once I returnif I return.

My brain is completely in a state of "WHAT THE FUCK?!?" right now. Between being in the field, coming back for a day, spending a weekend at Fort Bragg (a 4hr drive each way) with my best buddy in the Army (known him since 2nd grade), and coming right back here and still not even being unpacked from the field with a project to start on and my household goods shipment getting picked up on Friday, I'm all loopy. Having spent several hours of non-stop Neverwinter Nights 2 gaming just now doesn't help either.

I'm totally discombobulated. A lot of things I want to do, only so much time to do some of them.
