Heh, awesome. My dad was some kind of Rugby champion back in the day. He was telling me about the scrum or something and didn't know what he was talking about. I guess I need to see it sometime. He kickboxed too which is pretty cool.
I wanted to see a Rugby match, but the season hadn't started up yet when I was in Ireland. I'd like to see a football match someday too. I played soccer as a kid, but I sucked.
Yeah, I was talking about Soccer. One of my coworkers was talking about how he went to a Chicago Fire vs Celtic F.C. and it was pretty cool. Or something like that. Didn't know European teams ever came over here. Soccer is not all that popular here. But I should go sometime anyway.
Doesn't surprise me that a team like Celtic F.C. would play here. I think they have a large fan base here in the States. Plus some players here actually play over in European leagues and vise verse. David Beckham plays for the L.A. Galaxy for example. In the M.L.S. there's a team that's basically an extended club of a really popular Mexican soccer team, called Chivas USA.
To be honest, most of the European players going to the US are the older ones looking for an easy pay cheque. In the case of Beckham, he was more signed as a brand to boost the sport's visibility. He's still a good player, but he's nowhere near the level he used to be at.

Heh heh, it's hard to say because I wasn't here. I was up and about most of the time so I didn't really notice. I imagine there was more excitement here in the US since we had stuff like Michael Phelps and such happening. But it was cool to see a non-American focus on tv. Every country will obviously focus on their own country.

I saw Beckham on a tv show in Ireland about superstars before they were stars. He was a kid and was showing off some fancy soccer moves with a ball. He kicked some kid in the head while going after the ball once. And Beckham had a mullet.
The first one is a friend of mine. It was a response to a goofy meme in which we had to pick names of people that fit various statements. I put down Sunoo for "someone that seems like a prince," and drew that goofy pic. There's a different version where he has a speech bubble that says, "That's the gayest thing in the known universe. Even gayer than Streak." Not that that makes sense to anyone else
The second one I just sort of drew.
The Welsh Corgi in a Wiener dog suit and the cow eating a hamburger was drawn in a birthday card.
The husky is a badge I'm making for someone.
And the last two are some people I know. I was experimenting with cute things.

Useless information: As people probably know, the thumb up/down sign originated with gladiator fights in Rome; the audience showing their approval or lack thereof. The fun thing is, back in Roman times, thumbs up meant "kill him" while thumbs down meant "good show". No one has ever been able to explain how it got turned around to what we use today.
