Today's comic
Re: Today's comic
Oh, jeeze. I hope being in shadowgeek form prevents the brain damage that could cause.

Re: Today's comic
I'd be happy with Holy Rollers if they weren't all-Christian or weren't even mainly Christian. We have this stereotype in the United States of Protestant Christian groups becoming extremist - other groups could go down that path too. Since we're discussing Real Magic versus Game Magic anyhow, my money would be on Wiccans/Pagans. I mean, most gaming stuff does stereotype the Wizard/Warlock/Witch/etc., and if you're a person who believes that those are sacred callings that could get pretty offensive. Of course, there aren't a tremendously large number of people who consider such things sacred, and such people are rarely easily offended...but this is a comic, there might be more Pagans than Christians here. Jews, Muslims, et cetera have histories of being reluctant to accept magic-like things or witchcraft-y stuff - they could do Hunter-ish things, too.
Better yet, since there seem to be a lot of Hunters, it could be an interfaith deal...like the conservative Muslims, conservative Jews, and conservative Christians who've banded together to oppose pro-choice laws and gay marriage. And the has-beens could join in the geek-hunting, too.
If Geeks are "Creatures of the Night," perhaps different ones get different powers.

HAH! Did you read today's comic?Sir Ritalin wrote:Bonames, in spite of the ninja leap, I don't think it's Abbie, I think it's Mark. The hair matches the way his shadow form is drawn.

Hmmmm...
I think that line is a red herring. Abbie's weregeek form (as we've already seen) has two little pigtails. I'm still leaning towards Mark, even though I know how tricksy Alina can be.

So, I'm not the only one who's done the "last-minute-absolute-bull-abstract-art" thing.

Indeed, a veritable Miles Davis of cognitive dissonance. A point for Bonames, though, is that Abbie's actual hair in this strip resembles the leaping weregeek's. The situation merits further observation and reflection, I feel.Thunderhowl wrote:Hmmmm...

I find it odd that Abbie had a Painting of a Strange cloaked Weregeek form on her door.

Poor Abbie, she, like Lister never had a propper education.

Red Dwarf reference = +2 geek cred!
Man, I love that show.... Speaking of which, has anyone ever heard the audio book version of Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers? They got Chris Barrie to read for it, and since he's a wonderfully talented impressionist, it's almost as though they'd gotten the entire cast of the show to read it! His Kryten especially cracks me up. I highly recommend it!

I think I'm only entitled to 1 point of geek cred due to the fact that I am a brit and as such can find eps of the Dwarf and MPFC at the drop of a hat on cable.
Speaking of which I just rewatched Wither Canada, "Wenn ist das Nunstuck git und Slotermeyer? Ja!... Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!"
SPORK.

...Now that's a rude old lady.
Just going by first impressions, she probably expects him to spend hours to find that one book off that vague description.
(No, I don't auto-respect by age, except for survival skills. Older people are generally more mature, but auto-applying that would be giving some people too much credit. Especially the old people who demand respect for age, but do not give it because of lack thereof)
Hmm...Bit of a rant, but that's a pet peeve of mine.

You guys see don't you?
The Abbie red herring, the short hair...
it must've been JOEL's shadowgeek form that came to CCGeek's rescue!
