I must confess, my initial thought on the top pic was that he'd been kicked in the balls
Good stuff though, and nice recolouring work on the other picture as well

Good stuff yeah.
That first picture is both cute and sad at the same time.

Yeah
Jay Naylor does that occassionally: his characters will do something very like their real world species.
Like when Sheila first had the hots for her next-door-neighbor; they were talking over the fence and her tail was thrashing about in a quite horny way.
I didn't see the tear drop at first. My first impression was that Evan was just doing a canine thing and being curled up for a nap.Hungrywolf wrote:Good stuff yeah.

Heh, thanks.Pravus wrote:Aww... *Givs TSL hug*
The rainbow thing was largely unintentional. I randomly decided to make him blue one day. The I was freaking out and decided to make a green one. Yeahduff made mention of it in the main forum about an "Amazing Technicolor Furcoat." So I made a red and a purple one too. I guess it looks kinda gay now, but oh well. I have no regret.Tangywolf wrote:lol rainbow.TheSuburbanLetdown wrote:
If you look closely, the original one is cropped differently from the others because I didn't save that cropped version and went back and recolored the larger file.

Re: Random drawings and other such things
I like it. It's fun and kind of Warholian. I don't think it looks gay. It looks more like mood swings of the character: embarrassed, relief, sick, sad, panicked.
I thought of the colorbars fad from a couple of years ago when I first saw it. Now it reminds me of Gauntlet Legends with everyone playing as the same character. The avatars were all same except for the color.
You could make a variation where the "camera" zooms in along with the color changes.

Doesn't the rainbow need to have six colors?

Heh, thanks. I think it's fun.
Yeah, the rainbow has 6 colors, but his default color is between a brownish orange and yellow, so it's close enough. But yeah, this technically isn't a rainbow.

That's what I was kinda going for originally. I was feeling ill on the inside so I made it green.PortableNuke wrote:I like it. It's fun and kind of Warholian. I don't think it looks gay. It looks more like mood swings of the character: embarrassed, relief, sick, sad, panicked.

That was my first impression when I saw it! The first thing that popped into my mind was Andy Warhol's Ethel Scull 36 TimesPortableNuke wrote:I like it. It's fun and kind of Warholian.
The anecdote I heard was that this was a commission for a photographic portrait. Warhol took her to one of the cheap photo-booths in the NY subway and took the basic pictures that way.

It's still a pretty cool color job.
I can relate to the first pic too. I think I might need a hug too.
