Meet Taran. His full name (first and middle...yeah, I give my pets middle names) was 'Taran Munkustrap.' When I was still working at the cave, we found in the woods one day a litter of tiny, adorable kittens. Their mom was feral, and wasn't there, so we took them into the breakroom and divided them up amongst ourselves. I chose him because he was not only adorable (I have a picture of him when he was the same size as a beanie baby...he'd actually grown a bit since we'd gotten him by then, too) but because he was the most attacky cat I'd ever seen, and it was SOOO fun to play with him!
So I took him down to Arkansas, much to my parents dismay (well I couldn't have
pets at my place), where he stayed until he (sadly, and much too young) died. Even though mom was against the idea at first, she ended up growing very attached to him. She never did call him by his real name, either...I don't know how she came up with this, but she called him 'Munchie.'
