Likely woulda called it a Christo/Jeanne-Claude rip off.

It must have some form of recognisable distinctivness that carries over from avatar to avatar. Artistic style works for War, whereas Bob simply leaves his avatar in the same position all the time whilst changing the clothes and look. (Mind you, artistic style alone would probably work for him anyway.)

In my case, I've had occassional avatars done by other people but the core image always remains the same and has become iconic.

A liver... Sorry McDuffies, but a liver really isn't a strong brand for you.

I change it for fun, but use Evan about 95% of the time. It just doesn't feel right if I don't.

I like to think I'm fairly jaded when it comes to images of human organs in a clinical setting (most organs, at least).
But organs in a dancing setting. No. That still freaks me out a little.

It mustn't just be liver. It'd be always a different organ.

My current lack of avatar kinda makes me feel like I'm lacking a strong portion of my internet persona.

Oddly enough I sometimes have to be careful what pictures I choose cause I've acted like a complete and utter ass one one forum, then I changed my avatar and I got nice again.

I'm kind messed up I think...

[edit]Oh hey! I do have an avatar! I totally forgot. Well I feel better now. Course now I want to make something new.

I give you an 8 for the avatar and a -27 for the clumsy attempt at a dance.
