I'm doing a BEd, so hopefully I'll be a teacher too one day. Maybe. At least that's where the degree's meant to get me. I wonder what I'd be like as a teacher...

Hiding the tattoo as well as having to tie my hair back is bad enough, darlin. Do you have any idea how hard wavy hair is to pull back?
Recently my practice of playing music while my students are taking a test has come under fire. Apparently a teacher complained when she could hear it in the hallway. I have been tenured early and if it was that big of an issue, they should have said something sooner. Besides I teach a college course, so as far as I am concerned, I can do damn well what I please!

You should be able to do whatever you please, as long as your students are doing well, it shouldn't matter how you look, right? What if playing music during tests helps your students concentrate, somehow... Those other teachers should know about change and such. We're not living in a static world. Music back in their days could have been bad, but it may be a good thing now, as well as tattoos and wavy hair that's not tied back.

Anyway, speaking of teachers and schools and such reminds me that I have a fair bit of homework to do. Easter weekend makes me procrastinate a lot... >.>

At least you don't set your students to write something in 5 minutes and then talk for four minutes of it about what they can write. Drives me absolutely starkers.

I just have a few readings to do (they're small...) and then I'm done! Although I have some other things I should really get started on as well... I can do those tomorrow.

Well, this kind of teaching doesn't require homework! I can't exactly tell my students to go out and do 50m of freestyle by their next lesson... I teach the class called 'Starfish', where they're beginning to learn freestyle and backstroke... It's like kindy. Kindy kids don't get homework! At least I didn't when I was in there. I don't know what it's like these days. My high school was changing as I was going through it, so kindy has probably changed somehow too.
