I'm not saying that all nerds like that are incapable of having friends. Weird friends, maybe, but whatever. I'm saying that people with little to no social skills have no friends, LIKE THAT GUY.

I am unhappy that the lines between Geek and Nerd are becoming muddled. Allow me to post an excerpt from an essay I wrote last year:

Whereas the Nerd is a shy and gentle creature, lacking social graces, studious, and prone to being stuffed into lockers in High School; the Geek is more complex specimen. The Nerd specializes in subjects of academic practicality (Math, Physics, etc). In contrast, the Geek specializes in subjects often trivialized, but actually entertaining and sometimes even useful! A person whose reasoning and decision making is always first and foremost based on his or her passions rather than such silly things like financial reward or social acceptance. Indeed, the Geek does not view typical geeky interests as merely interesting, but as objects of passionate devotion.
Also stating that nerds or geeks are unable to have friends is pretty silly. You met a creepy fanboy. While the creepy lout was unsociable, I assure you he has several friends with the same passion he had.

Fine, I screwed up definitions.

Do you mean passion for Star Wars, or the level of passion he had for Star Wars. I don't really mind the SW aspect. I personally feel that if you make people uncomfortable, then you will have a hard time making friends. Okay, yeah, there are more people out there like him and of course, birds of a feather and all that, but I don't think that makes it any better haha. So now you have a group of people that make people uncomfortable. yayz?

Anyway, maybe he does have friends. Whatever. Still creepy. I was surprised initially that so many people wanted to comment on this subject, but then again....lol. Just look around right? I guess it was a sensitive issue for some.

My sister smoked right infront of me, in the living room, and refused to smoke outside.
