FILM PROJECT DONE!
After a long, frustrating and invigorating editing session, it feels sooooooo good! And finally, this Directing class can stop eating my life!
Now to prepare for my new job on Monday! Wooo!

Holiday three day weekend! Staying home and doing absolutely nothing! Anti-family weekend. 10 people, 2 bedroom house, 1 bathroom in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma? Er, no thanks!

Yay! I'm NOT going to Kentucky! Germany remains the planned destination!
For those not in the know, yesterday I was given the paper set of my orders for duty station, and they had FORT KNOX, KENTUCKY on them. Despite the fact I'd been guaranteed Germany. So, I asked the colonel to look into it. He did, and today said "Yeah, they just called back and I guess they were sorta dicking around and your papers didn't get in, so they fixed it and cancelled the old orders. You'll get new ones, to Germany, next week."
Woot.

This topic was started Tue Mar 20, 2007; could it be time for a new one?
And I'm happy that I got Good Friday off from work, and that I've made some progress in my RPG Maker VX project (note: RPG Maker XP and VX are fully legal). Of course, I'll probably have to work the entire Memorial Day weekend to make up for being off during Easter, but that's for another thread!

When I mentioned the situation (pre-resolution) in chat, someone spoke up and said "But Lego lives in Kentucky!". "Yeah, and he's making a break for Canada at the first opportunity."legostargalactica wrote:

I'd have no problem with a short stay in Kentucky, or even going there for a later assignment with an Armor unit, but when the choice is Kentucky vs Germany....Kentucky loses. Always.

Got rid of 7 moving boxes of used books. Ended up with $125 in credit at the bookstore.

Re: Return of the happy thread.
After several months of grinding World of Warcraft on weekends, and the occasional weekday night, I finally acquired the 5200 gold I needed for my epic flying mount last night. I bought it, I flew, I went fast. My mission complete, I logged off and will now be returning to the "outside" world for a swim at the pool, some studying at the library, and maybe a wine tasting if I have time.
