Wiki doesn't like me [solved - read first post]

Edit by Dr Neo Lao:
Update and Fix:
The non-login-ing has been fixed. The problem turns out to be that users with their first letter as a lower case could not access the Wiki. The fix has been to convert all members in the forum who have a lower case first letter to an upper case first letter.
The good news is that all users should now be able to log into the wiki. The bad news is that all users who had a lower case first letter will now need to change so that when they log in, they use upper case first letter.
End edit by Dr Neo Lao.

This started out in the "can't log on to the Wiki?" thread but that seems to be mostly for posting for the sake of posting, so here's my full story with all the steps:
Cookies are enabled.
Earlier I could log into the Wiki. (this was Sunday Feb. 24.)
The next time I tried to log in I got the error "Incorrect password entered. Please try again." I checked that the same password got me into the forums, and capitalization was correct.
At that point I had fewer posts than I once had (some of them had been condensed), so I tried posting more. Nope.
Next I changed my forum password. No luck. Same error.
Next I created a new forum account. I successfully posted 2 messages from the new account. At least I got a different error this time: "There is no user by the name "wendyB". Check your spelling, or create a new account." Again, I checked my spelling and capitalization.
I can only conclude that the Wiki personally dislikes me.
This is untrue. I could also conclude that it has something to do with errors in the forum code, which I heard about while browsing in the help forum. Or something else mightily strange.
I know that at least one moderator is aware of my issue from my posts in the existing thread, and I apologize if this is a case of "we're working on it, we just don't have any news." I would just really like to know if that's the case, or if there is something simple I'm missing.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
There was an error earlier with the siteadmin not getting the information from the V3 forum and this may or may not be related to that.
At the moment, there isn't a whole lot that can be done, but if more people are having difficulty, can they let us know so we can see how big of a problem this is? It appears that there are currently three or so people (yourself included) with this problem.
Edit: I've added a note to the front page of the wiki with a link to this thread to see if there is anyone else with this problem. In the meantime, can you try logging in from a different computer? To see if the problem is with your account or your computer.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
Yeah, I haven't been able to log into the cgwiki pages at all in the three months I've been on comicgenesis with this account. I've got enough posts in the forum to count and all, but now when I try logging in it says that there exists no account with my username! Any ideas?
Re: Wiki doesn't like me
Yeah, I'm also getting:
"Login error: Incorrect password entered. Please try again."
I can sign in to the forums (obviously), but, FYI, I just created this account last night so it may be the case that my problem also has to do with me not knowing what I'm doing.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
@ booze - yeah, that sounds like the same problem.
@ Dios - you need at least two posts in the forums to get into the Wiki. Make another post or three and then try logging in - if it does not work, can you let us know?
@ everyone else - It seems at this stage to be an isolated incident, so try logging in from a different computer or send your login details to a trusted friend and see if they can log in.

Login error:
There was either an external authentication database error or you are not allowed to update your external account.
I have been unable to enter the wiki since I started up my comic nearly 8 months ago. I stopped thinking about it after repeated failures but now I'm back to wanting to make a page. This is my fourth post so I will try to post a few more, but I just don't know what to do otherwise.
*Oh and additionally, there are two of us trying to get into the wiki from different computers and it's not working for either of us.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
I am having similar problems. I was able to access wiki early last month but now I keep getting this message: "Incorrect password entered. Please try again."
Re: Wiki doesn't like me
It's my account(s), unless it's possible it has something to do with my network. I'm using a friend's computer at my house and my accounts still won't let me in.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
I'm having the exact same problem as Wendybird. I have been able to log on to the wiki in the past (as evidenced by the wikipage for my comic)... but I can't get in anymore.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
Ditto... I've been having the same problem for the past week or two. Can't get in. Password is no good.
Re: Wiki doesn't like me
Does this error message mean anything??
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Host 'twenty.keenspot.com' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts' in /home/space/siteadmin/public_html/mysql4.php on line 45

Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Utime failed: Operation not permitted in /home/space/siteadmin/public_html/template.php on line 159
I cant get in to CGwiki
I tried posting more and it did not work
, what should I do now?

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
We are not sure why it is behaving like this. There are several people with this problem and it is being looked at.
Re: Wiki doesn't like me
Glad to hear that it's being looked at and that it's working for some people.
I'd like to start working on my wiki page -- it's mostly still the template stuff.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
All right, cool, I guess I can wait to put up the stuff for my page; I'm not really advertising it yet. But I keep wanting to make changes. Could someone go into the article "Comic Commenter" and change the one reference to "*** rawdate ***" so it says "*** raw_date ***"? (Obviously without the spaces, that was my addition.)
That typo messed me up for a while.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
Although the CGWiki will prompt you to create an account, you don't/can't. You use your existing forum account to log in.
You should be entering "minicecil" and your forum password.
However, at the moment there is a problem whereby some people are not able to get in to the wiki. We're not sure what's causing it and the admin's can't replicate the problem and so can't work out what the fix is.

Re: Wiki doesn't like me
sigh.
Guess that means I'll have a half-done wiki for the time being.
(quarter-done or eighth-done, really.)
I'll try again occasionally.
