Suggest A Storyline!
Well, as I continue to draw and try to get the comic back up and running, I realize that few people have a reason to come and visit. As such, here's a little idea - suggest a storyline for me to do in the future! Is there a villain you want Lightbringer to fight or some philosophical dilemma or just an issue with no dialogue whatsoever (yeah, because my artwork could soooo support an issue without any writing. ^_~)? Go nuts! I may actually use it!
Hey, I know! How about a crossover with other superhero webcomics, like Mindmistress, Dasien, or Mechagical Lisa A.N.T.!
More seriously, though. Philosophically, one of the main points Lightbringer has been trying to make is that the ends do not justify the means...You could explore that further, but it's pretty easy to stumble there - especially since the ends sometimes do justify the means (in my not so humble opinion). Remember the conversation we had in a previous thread about whether superheroes should kill in certain situations? Imagine a situation where Lightbringer could only rescue a bunch of civilians by killing a villain. That would make for an interesting story, no matter what he chose to do...And possibly ruin the comic in the process, since it's supposed to be on the idealistic side, and mood whiplash is a dangerous thing...
Villains and challenges. Hm. What about someone who could somehow cancel his powers (or, for that matter, his powers failing to work for another reason. What would Carter be doing if he wasn't superhuman?), or...

You asked for this:
Idea 1. A storyline where Dr. Idiot (Dr. Ecchi) from Patchwork Heroes buys every building in town and triplely issures them all with every type of insurance possible. This 1 would work best starting on April 1st as then you could take advantage of a gag they have going over at Patchwork Heroes where Dr. Ecchi changes his name and personity, though he will never go for killing anybody, for the month of April every year. Of course going with this 1 would mean figuring way to get him from his world (the world of the Patchwork Heroes) to Lightbringer's world.
Idea 2. A storyline where Lightbringer ends up being in charge of Pimpette's posse of `male escorts` for a day while Pimpette is off taking care of something.
Idea 3. A storyline where the Mirror Master (from DC comics) ends up slipping into Lightbringer's world specificly his city.
Idea 4. A storyline where the bad guy never quits because he/she/sie/it is way too subborn.
Idea 5. A storyline where we find out want Lightbringer does when he accidently blinds himself.
Idea 6. A storyline where the only way to beat the bad guy is to injorne (sp?) the bad guy.
Idea 7. A storyline where Lightbringer has to help Darkbringer with his mission because of a greater bad guy.
Idea 8. A storyline wher the name of a new good guy sounds like a bad guy's name and the name of a new bad guy sounds like a good guy's name.
Idea 9. And since thanks to the portal that is nearly always opened to Hell in PIMPETTE & ASSOCIATES, a storyline where Lightbringer has to fight off many demons.
Idea 10. A storyline where Fiction User is so bored that he decides to mess around with Lightbringer's world. And if you go with this storyline, you'll need this info:
Name: Fiction User
Allignment: Villain under Mr. Puroo (a main villain that has yet to be truly seen by the audience nor is part of Lightbringer's world) reason: for his own amusement
Real Name: Mark McGuire
Powers: 1. Can move any person, place, thing, idea, or group from any reality to any fanasty.
2. Can move any person, place, thing, idea, or group from any fanasty to any reality.
3. Can make any real person, place, thing, idea, or group imaginary.
4. Can make any imaginary person, place, thing, idea, or group real.
5. Can move between all realities and fanasties as if there was no boundaries between them.
Of course this set of powers makes the guy completely vulernable to absolutely any attack.
Idea 11. A storyline where Lightbringer has to get a kid onto the path of being a superhero rather than just a vigilante.
Idea 12. A storyline where the bad guy needs Lightbringer alive along with several others keep his/her/hir/its reign of terrorism going.
Idea 13. A storyline where Carter has to deal with pictures taken of Lightbringer by a camera specificly designed to filter out the light bure (sp?) that is giving off that doesn't allow a normal camera to take his picture.

I've always liked the idea of the hero losing control of their own power. Something where the power its self takes over and brings out the hero's darker side.
I'd really like to see what would happen if Lightbringer let go of his strong sense of morality, and did what he thought was necessary, rather than what's right.
Could you imagine him just cold heartedly blowing the head off someone like a serial rapist?
Of course if he went that far, you'd pretty much have to write it all off as a dream sequence.
I'm rather fond of that concept, because it helps to show that the man, not the power is the real hero, and when you take out the man, leaving only the power, you tend to get little more than a monster.

Re: Suggest A Storyline!
I've always had a love of morally gray villains who obsess over the scales of good and evil, equilibrium, and what not, believing disaster with strike if either side gains an advantage, even if its the good guys. You have Lightbringer and Darkbringer, what about Shadebringer?....eeeh....Twilightbringer?... damn naming the mixture of light and dark is hard
But you know a guy who walks between light and darkness, keeping both sides in check, ready to 'balance' the scales no matter which side it is.
Re: Suggest A Storyline!
To Phantom 64: I actually have a 'hero' that blurs the line of good and evil. I was going to make a comic about him, but I can't draw, so, there you go. His main quest is to find his memory, but to do that he must serve as a Specialized Grimm Reaper, killing who he is assigned to kill. Along the way, he falls into the belief that cold-blooded killing is morally justifiable. He actually is the main secondary character in "The History of General Werres", as Werres is being interrogated by my character. I am writing but not drawning the story and am currently looking for a cartoonist for help.
I see the world around me. I capture it, I decypher it, analyze it. I can adapt, more than any man, more than any monster, more than any machine. I have ascended to a point where the world is a simple series of calculations and figments. I have become more than a man, less than a god, and much less humane. I have become infinite, and I have become nothing. I have become the Infinite Void, and you will be analyzed!
