I used to get high on life, until I built up a tolerance. First I was seizing every day, just to keep up the buzz. Next I was seizing two days at a time, and I was quickly up to seizing an entire week just to feel anything.

Fortunately, I've since kicked the habit.

I was finally able to knock the queasy feeling out of myself that I'd been feeling all day.

My boss was out sick. Then one of my other co-workers was out.I ran the show pretty much all day. Even got a complient from my boss' boss. On top of that, half the class was out sick. A few of the ones left got picked up early because they were getting sick. I had one kid left when I clocked out at 4:30pm.

it's a shiny new (well, refurbished and 200 dollars cheaper) macbook. so shiny... downloads and installs have kept me busy for hours now though, by the time they finally all finish I'll have to buckle down and get to work on my upcoming deadlines, so no time to play around with it yet.

I bought a pot of mussels today, I had a hankering the past few days. Paid for it with a five pound note.

I was given change back in coins.

I was needing to get some butter, but didn't feel like going to the grocery store to do so. Today on my lunch break I was walking around Wal-Mart, and whaddaya know? Butter! The bigger tub, for $2-something (I think it's twice that at the grocery store)! So I have butter again now, and tonight I shall make a batch of olive cheese puffs with it!
