North Prairie Adventures - Rifts OOC
Well I don't mind more people, sense this is my first time, the more people I see interact, the faster I can learn, but its up to you Tom, as the GM, how many people do you feel comfortable watching over? (with it being on a forum though, I can see it wouldn't be as hard as it would be IRL)

For the request which I am going to ask of you, please reply with either "Okay" or "Yes".

Since I have two votes kind of in favor, I am making a GM ruling that grtdrgn will be allowed in the game on the grounds that he is playing a magic user.
Also he already made his own character sheet in his first post and that kind of efficiency says to me that he won't be slowing the game down.
I will respect Punstarr's request though, the game is now closed. I will begin reviewing the characters, finish up my Priest, and then get the game rolling.

Background: Jane Morinn
Jane Morinn is not your average arrogant Mind Melter. She's spent too many years in hiding to be cocky, and had too many near-misses to think herself invincible. Her M.O. is to stay quiet, stay hidden, and above all, let no one know what she is.
This attitude had been ingrained into her since birth. Born in the 'burbs of Chi-Town, she grew up in a place where all psychics were hated and feared. Her mother, a minor psychic, soon realized her daughter's potential and trained her to hide herself from the Dog Patrols. Life in the burbs was always a struggle, but her family managed to survive for years by keeping their heads down and paying the local gangs for protection when things got rough.
This all changed in her late teens. Her father, a rogue scholar and an avid archaeologist, had been working with a group of dissidents for years - mostly small time activities like giving impromptu educational talks and taking parties into Old Chi-Town to dig for relics. However, when they tried to start an illegal school to educate the children of the 'burbs, word soon got out to the Coalition and a force was sent to arrest all involved.
The raid came in the middle of the night. Jane, not realizing that it was the Coalition who were attacking, defended her family using the full extent of her powers. She was arrested, implanted with an ID chip, and sentenced to ten years in prison for being a member of the dissident group and for assaulting Coalition officials.
Prison gave her plenty of time to think about what she would do when she was released. The first was to get her ID implant removed, and the second was to disappear completely. Her ability to change her appearance at will was her greatest asset, allowing her to move freely within the city and even to sneak into government facilities undetected. She had a mission - find her parents, no matter what the cost. After a long period of careful planning and spying, she was able to locate an official who would know what had happened to them. Then, it was only a matter of getting him alone and ripping the knowledge from his mind by forcing a mind bond on him.
She didn't find her parents, but she did find out something else... Something that the Coalition would kill her for knowing. Afraid, but unwilling to kill the man who now knew everything about her, she tied him up and hid him, hoping he wouldn't be discovered until he'd forgotten the experience of the bond. Then, she fled Coalition territory as fast as she could.
She eventually found her way to WyNeKota, posing as a scholar and trading information for passage and and protection through the most dangerous parts of the wilderness. Now that she's here, she hopes she can start fresh away from the Coalition, but part of her knows that it's not going to be that easy...

That's a beautiful background Alina! Great! I see plenty of tension between Rex and Jane when you're introduced as the groups "scholar" but he can sense something more!
Perfect for the mystery theme that everyone wanted in the campaign.

Hisoty of Daniel Poe.
I grew up in the great city of Iron-Heart, for those of you who don't know that is a Coalition State. *takes a slug from his beer*. Now your wondering why in the hell I'm out in this god forsaken country, I'll get to that.
My family has always lived in Iron-Heart since..ell my grandfather's grandfather's time, in fact we ourselves lived in the upper levels, upper levels you ask? lets just say as a kid i never had to worry about every day expenses. yes i come from a life of privalge. I went to school, yes school, see Iron-Heart is not as strict as the muckity mucks in Chi-town.
Yes if your wondering, yes i'm a citizen of the CS and proud of it to. Do I premote all the racial BS you ask yourself. *another sip and puff from a smoke* I have seen for my own eyes that not all Magic Users are going to suck your soul out of your body and use it to take over the world, in fact from what i have seen most magic users want to be left alone. Are all psyics wanting to take over your mind to make you do things you wouldn't normaly do..no, most have morals and vaules, that running through a man's private thought distrubs them greatly.
Are all D-bee's baby eaters...aw hell no, i have meet some great people, some are just as giving and passionate as us humans. Now that being said I have seen my share of horrors, I have seen some things that will curl your toes and I have been in my share of Linchins.
Alright back *sips beer* back to my life back home. i come from a military family, my father is a retired major, he was a Military Specialist when he was serving. My mother is also retired, she as a Medic in the army, they served thier terms and now live a happy quite life with all the rowdy mob of grand-children. *holds up hand8 oh no not my children, i'm not ready to be tied down just yet, besied I still have to sow my wild oats.
I have two older Sisters and one older brother. My oldest sister, she is serving in the army, a 1st Lt Military Specialist, Next is my brother who followed in mums foot steps, he has a grenal pratice in the upper levels of IH and love his wife dearly, i'm thinking of visiting them some time soon again, giving my nieces and nephws a ton of sugar. Then there is my other older sister, she has mom's temper and dad's drive. She is serving as Ranger in the army, she and I are simular, can't keep us in one place for to long, there is much to been seen out there.
I ah Reckin' that is enough for now...if you come back tommorah night I can tell yah about how I found my line of work I'm in right now. *he put his his cowboy hat back on and tipped it at the bar-keep* Thank yah sir for the viddels they was mighty fine and the beer was good.
*he walked off to the stairs and up to his room*

Yeah. Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up. See this? This is my boomstick! It's a twelve gauge double barreled Remington, S-Mart's
top-of-the-line. You can find this in the sporting goods department.
That's right this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel and a hair trigger.
That's right. Shop Smart. Shop S-mart.

Getting close to being done with my character. In RL, just dropped my Mom and Sis off at the airport for a trip to England. I asked them to bring back some Millenium Leaf Armor for my mage, but I don't think they took me seriously.
Oh well. At least I won't have distractions for about a week (besides work, of course.) Should be able to polish off the last few pieces of the character sheet tonight. Hopefully flesh out the background some more by Wednesday.
