AAAAAAAggggghhhh!!!!!!!! (the hunter is back!)

Post by Tom the Fanboy »

I seriously would have screamed out loud if I wasn't at work!
This is something that's kind of beyond the "today's comic" thread.

Does he have pupils in his eyes??? I don't think he does!!
Aaaaggghhh!!!

And he's sarcastic! Gygax save us!

Where? I don't see this new comic. :(

The newest one to me is where Joel is messing with the pretentious goth kids.

retype the url to http://www.weregeek.com then refresh if it's still not new.

Now that I've calmed down I would like to note that since this comic features NONE of the other characters it has yet to disprove most of our theories about the Hunter.

I just refreshed and it showed up. Probably some sort of synchronization problem with the server.

Right now, I'm just too excited that the Hunter has returned and Mark is actually talking to him to speculate. I think I'll wait until Monday and see what the Hunter has to say before I start going wild with the speculations.

Well, if nothing else, we have finally got a look at his face... and I think we can put all those 'Jess is The Hunter' rumors out of comission for once and for all.

Here's a thought: what if the Jess persona is the disguise, and Mark's girlfriend is actually a forty-year-old man in makeup?

"Hello, I'm Narf and I'm a mad scientist. I like to built big huge spaceships and try to take over the world.

Thankfully, due to extensive therapy, I have managed to cut back.

I no longer try to take over the world. It's not in very good shape, anyway.

Now, I'm looking for a new one to conquer."

Didn't a group of thugs-for-hire called the "Hunters" appear in the Shadowrun storyline? Which, occasionally, was GMed by Joel?

Yeah, but the way Joel helped Mark out in the first chapter of the comic, it was clear he already knew all about the hunters. It is one reason I suspected he had a hand in this... Anyway, it could simply have been him taking an element from his real world and throwing it into the game.

Also, Joel didn't GM the Shadowrun game... he was a player. Wayne was the GM.

I just had a thought. A rather startling thought.

Supposing...

1) Things from games/the imagination really have been showing up in the real world...

2) Joel made up the Hunters to make the games more interesting...

3) The Hunters are From the games!

That reminds me of one of the sub plots in the Sandman comics.

Eeeeep there's more than one of them.
