I have Excellent News!!

I have managed to convince Alina to play. She didn't think she'd have the time, but a once-a-week game is pretty easy to handle. She has a GREAT character concept, too! She wants to play a Mind Melter who is also sort of a rogue scholar (not actually cross-class or anything, just with scholarly Technical skills) who is known and wanted by the Coalition. She uses Ectoplasmic Disguise and Hypnotic Suggestion and such to avoid detection by her Coalition foes. She was even going to take Mind Bond and Total Recall, and thus potentially have stolen some kind of military or government secrets, if Tom is willing to collaborate on that idea with her.

We talked a bit about character creation tonight, and chose Psychic Powers (deliberately selected to avoid much crossover with Thunderhowl and Chibiyuri). I'll post details in the game thread, which Alina can then use to create her character sheet tomorrow night, if Tom's willing. :-)

Yikes, I had forgotten about First Aid Kit had wanted to play, and now Alina!

Well I guess that's OK! How could I refuse the artist and host?

The character sounds cool.
Once we get the last two posts for the forum based character sheets we'll be ready to get to the real OOC chatter about the game and then move on to actual play.

Going with a Human Saddle Tramp.
Right now I'm watching "The Jerk" staring Stever Martin. I think it's a good omen for the character.
I named him Daniel Poe.
I'm thinking of making him like a quasi-guide for the group.

Alright, so what's the status on this game? I'm totally ready to play. Just need to write a quick bio.

Currently i'm giving FirstAidKit a chance to join us before I start. If we don't hear from him soon (him, right?) then I'll be starting up the OC post for exposition and then creating the IC thread.

In RL I got training for a new team at work so this week may be a little more busy/stressful for me as I walk people through installations of products I've never supported before. My Tech support job doesn't usually afford me much time to browse the forums during work but I've always managed to squeeze some in when I'm on hold. The new arrangements may be taking those moments from me as well so we'll see.

No matter what happens I plan on starting the game up by Friday.

Fillable character sheet...

Post by Traek »

Not to mention I'm a complete noob when it comes to PnP RPGs.
Also I found a Fillable pdf of the Character sheet for RIFTs: http://www.megaverseonline.com/download ... llable.pdf if it will help you Tom. Some of the Save vs. * will auto fill too.
K... I've been looking for some guys using my character sheet for a bit, now. I'm glad to see this last run through Google turn up quite a few people using it, but I have to ask: what kind of Save Vs. auto-fill am I not producing? What would you guys like to see changed or added?

I recently (read: early in 2007) modified my sheet so you could save it using Adobe Reader but beyond that haven't touched it since 2005. I don't play enough and my player group isn't experienced enough to give me any good feedback.

I'd also be interested to know how you guys all play online and what tools/sites you use.

Thanks for any feedback!

... gee... maybe I should start a forum or something on megaverseonline.com... duh!
