NaNoWriMo 2007: If you don't do it, you're a wussie!

Some of you may know... National Novel Writing Month begins November first! During this month, writers from all over the globe are challenged to write a 50,000 word novel over the span of one month. It's great for exercising that creative muscle.

For information on how to participate, check out the official website.

I'll be participating again this year. Anyone else interested?

I write what I can write for my own story, and I write as often as I can but to my own schedule. We'll see what I put out over the course of the month, and I'll even tally it up. See if I hit 50K words.

Last year I got everything set up for this and then job stuff got in the way.... this year I better keep out of it because moving and finding a new job will take up all my time.

I am trying but since I am restructuring the world...

From a story that had 20 plots and 147 characters, I was cutting things out, redoing the rules of magic. Some of the elements in the story had to be removed because either they weren't interesting or too vague to be useful now.

I have to believe I won't make it for November.

You're allowed to repeat some words.

This, but also, I doubt I'd be able to carry any ideas I came up with under that kind of pressure to 50,000 words.

(Well, I might, but the result would be horribly bad, and the last 10,000 or so would probably be randomly plucked from a dictionary.)
