I got my IB diploma, but due to the fact that IB was still getting recognized in the country at the time, it didn't do a damn thing for me. I got credits for a math course in uni and that's it. The most useful thing the IB Programme did for me was prepare me for how my uni courses would be structured :I .

And that was it, best friend leaves tomorrow for her new school, new start, blah di blah. I'd say "Yeah we'll see each other again for sure!", but I know how she's kept in contact with her previous best friends. Well shit.

Growing apart is what we do best. I've lost contact with so many people over the years.

what's more depressing is realizing you were never too close with friends to begin with.

Usually this happens in the fall, and we're not quite there yet, so yeah, starting up already.

a professor took me aside and told me (not so quietly and in front of other students, though I'm pretty sure no one heard) that I'm probably not ready for a course I'd just finished the first class in.

I understand he was trying to help but still... dick.

1) took out my upper ear piercings for 48 hours to get the gook and hair out of them. They closed completely up. Damn, I heal fast.

2) College is back and session and we have an huge influx of students. Hence parking in the front lot of Casa K is going to be hit and miss. And that's just the start of my drama for the next few months. (note: I share my lovely resident with Washington U students)

So we have a signature loan with our bank. It comes with a payment book and you pull out a dated payment coupon and make a payment with it.

I assumed (a dangerous thing) that like every other coupon-book loan I've had in my entire life, if you have spare cash, you can pay ahead by pulling another coupon out of the book and making another payment - the bank shouldn't care - it gets it's interest money. It just lets you pay ahead when the money is flush for the times when the money is not flush.

Well, apparently I was wrong. Our bank just applies the new payment to the principal, and then expects it's next payment every thirty days as per normal. So we got a message from them saying "Hey, this payment is overdue blah blah blah..."

I got it straightened out and they're just advancing our due date and making sure it's not on our record. But good fucking grief - don't give me a booklet with little dated coupons in it and force me through the rigamorole of sending them in if you aren't going to honor the dates on the coupons.

Crossfire: "Thank you! That explains it very nicely, and in a language that someone other than a physicist can understand..."

Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.
"Data" is not the plural of "anecdote"

that professor apologized, but another one interrupted me when I tried to get a permission number to give me the same lecture. sheez I get it! why don't you require Pre-Requisites next time, or at least note in the manual that it's meant for second year graduate students?!

my internet connection is painfully slow tonight, and I'm still having hardware issues with a couple nice-but-non-essentials. as I was ducked down there plugging in this and that I caught a wiff of ozone... I unplugged everything I'd plugged in so I don't think I caused any damage, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

there's also the possibility that the smell has been there a while, some essential slowly cooking to death.... so I'm going to start shutting down my computer everyday instead of letting it sit idling the way I normally do.

I'm feeling general depressed and burnout. Not much right now that's shaking me out of this mood.

Since a few days I have a vicious apetite, eat and after 2 hours I'm starving again. I'm starved now.
+ I'm more tired that usual.
+ I feel a continous pain in my lower body

=> I think I'm pregnant!

+ My mom will kill me and then throw me out of the house and then kill my boyfriend if she finds this out!
