2007 Renfaire Tuxedo, NY
Hello!
I saw someone posted about a renfaire and I thought I'd extend this invitation to others as well!
For the past few years, Mort and me have been going to this Renfaire, http://www.renfair.com/NY/ and have a grand time~!
We'd like to extend the invitation for any one to join us there!
We usually go in August, and last year we were joined by Mort's brother, who looked like a true pirate by the end of the day!
There is a ticket special till the 15th of Feb, and if you miss it, wait and there may be another promotion later on.
I can post pics from the Faire if ppl wish...
Please come!~

sounds like fun! I've always wanted to check out that renaissance festival. August may be a bit busy for me, but after say the 10th I should be ok for a trip.
oddly, whereas the downstate ren fest is near a real town named Warwick NY where one of my friends is from and takes place in fictional Sterling Forest, the upstate ren fest is in a fictional medieval town named Warwick and is in the real town of Sterling NY.

for those (well, probably just me) who hate driving and perfer public transit:
http://www.renfair.com/NY/general/bus.php
bus to and from the NYC Port Authority
http://as0.mta.info/mnr/stations/statio ... fm?key=791
the metro would be nice, but it looks like you'd have to transfer at one of the stations to the south- probably cheaper/easier to just take the direct bus.

YAY
thanks for the info Goblin!
its not always hot there...
the Faire is actually high up in the mountain... so there is often a good breeze up there... lots of shade trees too... there's also a cooling shower (lil kids have alot fun in it).
I wear gowns on every trip there and carry a hand fan...
and we carry bottles of ice water...
mind you, they actually let you go in and out as much as you want... so we keep lunch and fresh water in the car...
^__^ works for us!
there is a ticket sale going on right now too...
If anyone else can come on that weekend, let me know... and if you need costuming tips...
I will be shopping for a circlet this year... every shopkeeper there is a hardworking person just like the rest us, they just have a bit more passion for the Faire than most common folk!
Hope to see you~!

These things happen. No Biggie.
We went on Saturday, thank god it was a cool day. Before all that rain.
