Red Slime
Red Slime, yo!
The difference between us and a lot of these review sites popping up as of late is that there's a staff of us working on it. Already there's a good deal of reviews to go up in time, and production rate isn't too shabby (it'd be better if someone did his work. But I won't name any names. Aside from Kirb's).
For the time being (see also: until we can capture a programmer willing to work at a slave's rate) we're hosted on a Live Journal. But also have the website Redslime.net.
Anyhoo, we're always happy to have dedicated people on board, so if interested swing on by and check it out. Bring a side dish, and feel free to use the pool!
Comments on reviews are also encouraged and will be rewarded with good karma.

Isn't that the basis of "How Not to Run a Webcomic?"ataraxia wrote:These things are popping up like Koozebanian bunnies. How long before someone starts a webcomic about webcomic reviewers?
That said, good luck with the project.
And I wouldn't be shocked if someone made a webcomic all about reviewing other webcomics at this point. Seriously.
We've been working on this for quite a while, and as you can see from the main domain we are aiming for more of a community hub than the current rash of "webcomics on a blog".
Plus we're so much more insanely awesome. SRSLY.
Sadly someone making a webcomic about webcomic reviewers would never see the irony...

I'd love to get into this, especially since I still have a few weeks before I start school again. The group-style appeals to me a lot since I enjoy reviewing comics but I'm too modest to start my own review site. However, I don't know what to review, so I'll do the first comic that someone in this thread suggests (as long as it has a decent-sized archive.)

Yeah, I really want to include images through the reviews but lj is being a real bitch about letting me text wrap with this layout. :/princess wrote:Looking swish!
The only thing missing is images of the comics you are reviewing.
Yarr.

Oh the many woes of large projects...
What with people having lives and coders breaking free. Delays delays delays delays delays delays

Not bad site. I like the reviews in general, there are some bits where I'm a bit "wuh?" with but review Marmite and you'd have a harder time!
I just love being a spoil sport, but for Blue Zombie review, the term is "black", not "negro". Heck, I used to know some ladies who'd bitch-slap a person until he bled for less.
