I don't mind if some anime character has a pose they adopt now and then, but when they add an entire nonsensical *phrase* to the end of every sentence, it makes me *cringe*.
Desu and other two-syllable things don't bother me at all, but an entire english phrase that makes no sense in the context of the sentence? I'll pass.

Does it bother you that real Japanese people say "desu?" a lot on the ends of sentences?

If you are referring to the image - its a line from Deep Space Nine where Starfleet was trying to trick the Romulans into joining the war against the Dominion. They had a data crystal manufactured and when some Romulan high official came to inspect it, those were his lines and facial expression in probably the single most overacted scene of the entire series.
