Running out of books at camp and being 12 and discovering that you need to shave your armpits for the first time ever.

Being cut-off from your family for 10 years, finding out your uncle is a lesbian (no seriously), and that he is no longer really your uncle, that he/she is going off to Thailand for inexpensive treatment and may never come back because she has already outlived her prognosis and expects to die there.

WTF
I'm bored.

People that smoke and/or do drugs in general. It's gross, it kills you, and it smells really, really bad, especially to us who have allergies.

Here's something annoyingly inconsistent. Why is it considered to be politically correct to call a European "white" and to call an African "black" while it is not politically correct to refer to an Asian person as "yellow" or a Native American person as "red"? And then those colours don't even make sense!

It's not PC to use any of those actually. White people are: Caucasian, black people are African-(whatever country, i.e. African-American), Asians are Asians, and Native Americans are Native Americans.

I hate PC. SO bloody annoying. Funny, though, and this really bugs me, there are so many american black people stuck on being "African-American" who aren't even from Africa. They say it's because that's where their family's from. Like black people were only ever in africa. Hell, I could say I'm African because my family technically came from there too. >> Human life started in Africa, yeh? Even more hilarious, right now I'm living in a community mostly made up of black people and the majority of them call themselves "African-american" However, there is only one guy I know that's was actually born on the African continent. >>

(hope my little rant didn't offend)

It is stupid. People get offended so easily sometimes. And "white" and "black" are words I prefer not to use but are usually socially acceptable. Language and treading around stuff is so tedious. One of my friends decided that we should all communicate in grunts. But then we couldn't sing...

Hehehe communicate in grunts? May as well, if it's proven the devolution is real I'm not sure I'd be very surprised.

I don't mind the words white, black, red, yellow, or green..because...well we are XD

White people have very light skin color pigments...white - peachish or so.
Black people have black and dark brown skin color pigments
Native Americans people have a kind of sienna brown pigment as well as shades of red.
Asians are ...well...yellow.
And mediterranean peoples (Italians mostly) have greens and tans in their skin.

I believe the language you use should really depend on the preferences of the person you are speaking to. Like..I don't swear around my mum 'cause she doesn't like it.

And to add to the "What Sucks" list...Someone was mocking my accent and the general fact that I am Irish. So I kicked him...hard. And I got fined for it. Gah...

Ethnicities aren't so...well-umbrella'ed by color tho. I mean, not all those who descended from African parents are Black; you usually find that in the regions south of the Sahara. Northern Africa, however, is pretty mixed. In Egypt, you'll find a wide range of colors but tending towards lighter skins. They are, however, still African. Black almost covers them because, well, they aren't white either...they're kind of in between. But not yellow. If you've seen it you know what I mean.

I'm Asian. However, I'm not Yellow for much of the year (I'm mixed and change race with the season). And honestly I've been told countless times that I don't look Asian, and the only reason for it is that ignorance that says that Asians are Oriental. I'm 1/4 Chinese, but 1/2 Malay. The Malays originated in Southeast Asia and are not Yellow, but BROWN. Likewise, the people of India are not yellow but BROWN.

Therefore when you say Asians are yellow you're showing your level of ignorance. It's not PC because it perpetuates that idea that because Asia is Yellow, Brown is not Asia.

And causes idiots to not believe me when I tell them I'm Asian. #$@%@

</rant>
I'm bored.

Ooh, ouch Rychon. But I was speaking purely scientifically on the pigments nearly always found in people from certain regions. If you're Asian, chances are there is some, if only a little yellow pigmentation in your skin, even if it is not visible. In pigments, yellow in brown are actually very nearly kin, so when shown that one pigment generally dominates a region, it goes without saying that the other is present.

I do not refer to people by their skin pigments. Its a way of speaking that I find somewhat rude.

Please refrain from calling me ignorant without knowing the scientific foundations on which I stand. I know people are not strictly ONE skin color according to region. I am not blind, nor am I a fool as you seem to believe.

Hm, I suppose that another thing to be added to the "What Sucks" list. Being called ignorant, especially by someone who could hardly say they know you.

Ah, yes. The only people I'm intolerant of is intolerant people. That sounds funny but people that judge by apperances, race, sexuality, etc. are the truly annoying ones. I'll still talk to them but always make sure to avoid politics.

Ah, that's too bad. I enjoy politics. I think in politics and debating, the most fun thing for me is to mess with my friend. I pick a side, research it, and really understand the subject, and then when my friends are sure of my stance, I start to play devil advocate. It's funny because that's when I weed out the people who oppose me just to oppose me and for no other reason. XD

I hate to say it, but I'm human and I find my self thinking rude "intolerant" thoughts about other people. Can't be help. Although I never not treat someone justly, I simply can't help it when stereotyped thoughts appear. The only people I am truly intolerant of are the idiots who think they worth more or less in human value than me.

Don't get me wrong, I adore a good debate. I just make a point not to with such close-minded people that I've given up on them even talking in general years ago. *coughjessecough*

And yes, as humans we do judge. It's simply in our nature. I just work on keeping it to a minimum. If you're not like that all of the time, though, then you aren't a judging, intolerant person. You're just an average human in that sense.
