Ha. Awesome. I was just thinking about this song.
The backing track kinda sucks, but man, that's one hell of a vocal performance. Especially the way she makes "umbrella" a four syllable word. I think Rihanna's putting on the shoes vacated tragically so many years ago by Aaliyah, bringing a simple and rather thin voice to R&B tracks but performing her own special blend of magic and sass to turn trash into essential listening. She absolutely MAKES that Sean Paul track.
Let's hope she gets Timbaland's attention.

Honestly, I'm a big fan of Rihanna, but I wish she go this "sexy" direction. It's just so typical. Still a good song, i guess.
