Not Kansas....TEXAS!!

This is still a rough idea that may not happen. As I said in the Comic Con thread, one of two things will happen this summer:

I get slotted for 3rd, 4th, or 5th Regiment to Ft. Lewis and go to Comic-Con in San Diego.

I get slotted for 9th Regiment and after Ft. Lewis spend several weeks at Ft. Riley in Kansas during the month of August.

If the first one, this post becomes a moot point. If the latter, and pending the actual schedule of my stay in Kansas, would a meet-up be possible? I know long distance people is a no go cause the cookout will have been in June, so just anyone in the area who wants to get together for a one day or even part of a day thing (weekends of course) would be who this is for.

That being said....discuss.

Hmm...if we started saving up right after the cookout, then it might be possible, it looks like it's only about 5.5 to 6 hours away from here.

I'll be out of school the first two weeks of August. Might be up for a roadtrip...either solo or with others...depending on funds.

It looks like Ft. Riley is within some kind of reach of Nebraska. I could possibly drive down. Maybe. :D

Okay, so I DO have a CTLT slot...but it's at Ft. Riley, Texas right near El Paso. Don't know just who is in the area (pretty sure no one, actually) but on the off chance....it should be the first couple of weeks in August.

Well, that one's definately a no for us...but there are some Texan CGers out there, allthough I don't remember exactly where they live right at the moment.
