Testicular cancer is pretty darn nasty.
Although, it's a little known fact that several organs help to produce semen; any of those could potentially have become a spinerette, and started to produce webbing. This webbing would then potentially block the urethra, requiring frequent catheterization to allow for urination.
Just don't go there...like they did.

Which would explain why they never show Spiderman using the toilet.rkolter wrote:This webbing would then potentially block the urethra, requiring frequent catheterization to allow for urination.

Men don't get cervical cancer. Duh. What, me blonde?Glarryg wrote:Would Spider-Man's man-bits be just as prone to getting cancer this way, too?
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.

Actually, he's never destined to be "chosen". The spider had to choose him right then and there out of everone in the room as the intense radiation was about to kill it. In my opinion that just makes it even more "normal guy with tough breaks" because instead of just randomly getting powers he's randomly getting cosmicy-totemic powers because he was the best option available.Linkara wrote:The problem is that while it's an interesting twist, having Spider-Man be destined or so or linking him to some mystic otherworldly force makes it a lot more difficult for the appeal of Spider-Man of being an everyday guy who happened to have a bad break.Laemkral wrote: Really it was a very interesting twist into his origins, and a plausible one as quite frankly we've seen weirder in the Marvel universe. A spider totem that grants powers to a protector of the people every generation or so? Sure, why the fuck not.
"Yeah, we probably wanted someone else to have all these gifts and who would have dealt with all the things you went through cause they'd have had fewer issues and personal struggles and in the end everyone probably would have been happier off, but the spider was about to die so you were the next best thing. Enjoy!"

wouldn't it have been interesting if the spider hadn't bitten him? and instead become more powerful itself?
