Tomorrow, I promise! I was checking the thread every 5 minutes waiting for a review of my comic; it's not nice of me to make you wait this long; I apologize. So far I'm enjoying it, though!

New as compared to what? Did you have specific dates in mind?

I'm not sure how much I can comment on the shading, since the comic seems to be taking place at night right now. But I'll take another look if you can cite examples.
Well, mostly I was thinking about the new style of digital shading as opposed to the india ink style I used before.

Okies. The review for Hopscotch is up. Top of page 5, I believe.

Cheers.

Then you've missed the whole hidden meaning of... No, no, you're probably right. :)

I didn't see your original, shorter review - but thank you for the one I did see! If you have any suggestions for the site design, please let me know, since what you were looking at *was* a redesign. :) (Still in progress, though)

Glad you spotted the Aussie-flavor visuals. Oddly, the two (polar) influences on it are Chopper (close-ups, color-washes, hi-focus shots), and Somersault (quiet scenes that are empty of people, save for the main characters).

Cheers, and thanks.

Actually, I only recently watched Chopper for the first time a few weeks ago. That was actually the sort of 'back streets of Melbourne' sort of look you put in my mind, that and other Australian 'local' films. I haven't seen the other one.

Thanks to Glarryg for the comments (but you didn't finish reading all 1250+ strips!? Slacker!!)

Re my strip possibly coming across as British; even though I am American, I have in recent months made a deliberate effort to insert some British slang into my characters' dialogue. It's a relatively easy way to add a touch of the "exotic" for my (I assume) mostly American audience, and I just like the words: "whinging". "stroppy". "nob".

And yes, I deliberately keep the site-design low-key and free of a lot of unneeded graphics, because I am also still on dial-up, and I have had to give up on reading through more webcomic archives than I can count because they load - ed - so - pain - ful - ly -slow - ly...

Ah. Resorting to using gimmicks, eh? ;)

(Before anyone mentions it... lingo is not a gimmick for me... cos I actually talk that way!)

you put a k in front.

also, americans acting british is infuriating to brits.

its also infuriating when americans come to scotland and wear kilts.

its a sure way of spotting the americans, because they are the only people wearing kilts.
