I think it should have been phrased, "Has been up for a while," in that case.
Maybe so. She'll be jake though, no harm done.

Is it bad to use ellipsis? I have a lot as well.

Ha, you think she was harsh? You're lucky Neko didn't do your review.
I hope I'm not THAT bad. >_>

My review for School Spirit is up. Sorry for the delay, the archive crawl took longer than I figured.

I like your reviews. If someone can't take something like that then they should probably quit and they should never ever show their stuff to a professional editor.

I realize I use a display font as body text for my main villain but it's a readable display font and I spent about 2 days finding it.

Just something to keep in mind.
Oh wow. I never thought of that font as a display font. That would make a lot of sense as to why it's so hard to read to some people. Thanks for the tip. I guess I'm going font shopping this week. :D

I thought you'd be flattered!

Nah, I wouldn't say it's BAD. You're analytical and honest, and your reviews are based on factual perceptions... Of course, you never sugarcoat anything you say like most people do, so you easily come off as quite harsh. That's not to say I disagree with your analyses or that they aren't constructive at all.

Personally, I'd be frightened to get a review from you as it might rob me of the last bits of confidence I have left... ;)

I don't think you're bad at all. It's not like you didn't back up your reasons for saying what you did. You're honest, and to the point, and most people need that...shock? to jolt them out of their comfort zone and hopefully aim to improve or try something new.

I wouldn't say you're bad, you're just a harsh, unloving and uncaring reviewer who goes right for the reviewees heart and tears it out with a large sadistic grin on his catlike face.

You don't sugarcoat it, or anything you do or say. Sometimes, actually, I'm SURE you're adding a negative impression to what you say.

So, no. It's not bad. Sometimes people NEED a kick to the face. Just...thats why I used to say you hate everything. Because there are times I'm pretty sure you do. :P

Well, yeah, it does. I'm glad that the site design and stuff like that works. Like I've said somewhere here on this forum, I'm rather picky when it comes to web design. I couldn't STAND the way my site was previously. I even decided not to sleep one night and just re-design the whole darn thing. So yeah. As for the writing, it needs work. Especially since it's really only now that I've begun to add character to everyone and flesh out the world.

And I actually do plan on explaining the "why's" in terms of the shadow guy's existence and the little red guy's existence and why some people are animals and some not. All that good stuff. :) I figure I should get that out of the way in this next story line.

I'd prefer his type to a sugarcoater, yes.

Yes. I find a truthful, harsh review much more refreshing than sugar-coated (or false :P) flattery. Honestly, sometimes a slap in the face is a good thing. In general, critisism is good for your health as long as it is constructive.

Not to disagree here, but am I the only one lost in the irony of everyone praising how The Neko doesn't sugar coat his reviews by sugar coating their review of his reviews (if that made any sence)?

It is pretty interesting to see how they're defending his reviews... except I don't think they're sugarcoating. After all, everyone admits that he's harsh but honest. That's the honest truth, and it's the admirable thing about his reviews.

Then again, I would NEVER have the courage to be one of his subjects/victims. There's a huge difference between admiring his honest apporach and actually taking such a browbeating.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."
