You're welcome, Jackhass. ^_^

Fine, I'll drop the second bloody name, but it's probably not going to be for Issue 7 or 8, since Issue 7's page is already done and Issue 8's not being drawn by me. I don't understand why people are making a big deal out of it...

I guess when you have 4 comicgen artists telling you to stop and go away, you have nothing to add to the genre, you probably want to heed their advice.

Yes, I think that being sore about getting some good critiques is a good way to handle the situation. "You need to improve" does not mean "Quit".

Well, no offense, but when the entire review is "The art's bad, the story's bad, the jokes aren't funny, and I hate your site" that pretty much says that I'm wasting my time.

Ha, you think she was harsh? You're lucky Neko didn't do your review. You might want to reread that review because Sparrow was actually very constructive and fair and this reaction of yours is just uncalled for and immature. Bah!

Well, get some clothing catalogues and draw one of the models in them every day, go to a short story writing course and buy a book on HTML. It'd probably only take you a month to show some real improvement. Certainly, HTML and the basics of story writing would only take that long. Drawing is one of those things where the finish line keeps moving the more your race, but you'll certainly get better.

You can either find problems and use them as an excuse to stop or you can find solutions and keep doing what you want.

Let him (or her) vent and get the disappointment out. We all know (and I think we've got a thread about this running at the moment) that many of us get hurt at such responses but take a little while to look at such a review again with a different perspective.

I'd say read through the review again in a day or so and focus on any suggestions as to how you can improve. If you think your strip has merit, then take those on board and work at it.

If anything, you can then come back with an improved product and say to those who thought you were crap 'stick that up your arse, Tony Greig!'

Chances are three others will recognise the 12th Man quote, but it's suitable here anyway.

Anyway...I was originally going to post here to say 'Hilarious Henry's review is up...for a while...I thought I'd better let you know if you cared'.

So...there. I did.

Cheers.

Fine, you're right as well, I really just need to stop. I'll go clear out my archive since, if I recall right, that clears off the comic from the line up.

Nope, although I do at least know roughly what the 12th Man is.

Wait a week. Emotional decisions when there's plenty of time anyway should be avoided.

Yeah, I figured this might happen. Harsh reviews are hard to take. But it was not my intention to get you to stop. You've barely even started drawing at all, so give yourself some time. It takes patience and lots of learning the hard way to improve.

Actually, you know what? If you're so incredibly sensitive that the criticism of a bunch of internet people could make you stop pursuing your hobby, maybe it's best that you quit, since it couldn't have been very enjoyable for you.

No, it wasn't really that enjoyable to do. Besides, isn't art done for other people, and if other people don't like it, then one is wasting their time, no?

Doesn't matter much, it's down now.

No art is done for yourself

If that's true, then what's the point of posting it or distributing it?

If art's just for yourself, then it should remain in a locked filing cabinet in your room.

No, art is done to entertain me.

ENTERTAIN ME!!!!

**EDITED**

In addition, let's not squabble over petty details about who art is for...it's a personal subject and thus subject to change with every individual.
Don't give up on the comic...work with it...that's what they're saying, don't hang up your hat keep on trying your hand at the comic...you started it for a reason right?

And how about we get back on topic...however don't even try to review my site there's nothing there!

Next person on that's willing to make with the "On topic" do a review for....uh...anyone done one for Sparrow?
