I was going through Newsarama the other day when I came upon an article listing all the comics coming out on FCBD, and there was the Comic Genesis one! Check it out! This is so cool, you guys! I can't wait to see the final product.
I just got payment for a 1/4 page ad, with ad details to follow.
... am I getting the details of the ads now too? I thought you were getting those. And did you know the ad was coming in, or should I be telling you that?
I knew about the ad, Ryan, but the person who bought it may not have given me all the details. If you could forward me the information from her payment, that would be great. Also, we have sold a full-page ad, and that money should be coming in soon as well, with details to follow.
cool. I'll forward you details of sold ads then.
Crossfire: "Thank you! That explains it very nicely, and in a language that someone other than a physicist can understand..."
Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.
"Data" is not the plural of "anecdote"
shenanigan got a traffic spike too, too bad we haven't started the comic yet!
-D. M. Jeftinija Pharm.D., Ph.D. -- Yes, I've got two doctorates and I'm arrogant about it, what have *you* done with *your* life?
"People who don't care about anything will never understand the people who do." "yeah.. but we won't care."
"Legostar's on the first page of the guide. His opinion is worth more than both of yours."--Yeahduff
After looking at all the covers, yes, I can say our cover is really awesome! They even mentioned Humbug's name and pimped her site in the summary. Great promotion there.
Also, MAJOR UPGRADE on Keenspot's cover for FCBD 2007's cover compared to last year's. Like, for real.
as of 5:35pm AEST, i am the proud owner of a completed foxfire FCBD submission.
Cort i'm gonna send it to ya so you can nitpick it half to death and to see if the text is right and such..
"when a hero dies, he becomes a legend, that legend, with time, becomes a myth, then a fable, that fable, is then carved in stone, and when that stone crumbles, it is lost" - Takahn.
That list of covers makes this suddenly seem terrifyingly real--I mean, man, Lynda Barry! Eddie Campbell!
Here is my submission--the text is much more readable in the huge tiff version, natcherly. Are there any problems anyone sees that should be fixed before Wednesday?
(I finished inking this at a coffeeshop where this same basic conversation was going on, tragically)
I'm gonna hold off on sending you the mega-high-res pieces, Corto. I want to sit on them for a couple of days, then come back and make sure I haven't, say, forgotten to shade something.
Well, since I did finish mine a couple days ago, maybe I should post it here, eh? (It fits in between some of the real strips...but everyone else's submissions seem so much more awesome!!! Y'all Rock!)
Corto, is there any chance we'll be able to do a test-run before the final version is distributed? I've never had my work printed before, so I'm kind of worried about how it'll turn out.

very true, although one's average printer does a good job, i wouldn't mind seeing it in its true-to-life form..
