see, in Chicago it wasn't that it was -10 F its that with the windchill factor it felt like -50...

I never learned what windchill was till -30* really meant absolute #$@%ing zero. No one warned me, and at the time I lived on top of a hill right on East End of Lake Ontario *Sigh* Such cold experiences...

You want cold?

Saskatchewan. Lived there for two years. Out of the wind it's okay, but with? Hoo-boy.

Second year in February, all of Western Canada got hit with a cold snap of doom. The place where I lived was the 3rd coldest place on Earth at -56.3 Celsius WITHOUT windchill. With windchill it was closer to -70. I don't care what side of the thermometer you're reading, that's buggerdy cold. Right now in Central BC we're having the first decent winter in over a decade. -25 C with windchills to -35. Not much in the way of snow, 8 inches on the ground at most, but in the Lower Mainland they got dumped with 30cm (a foot) over the weekend and they're going to get more.

So DON'T complain, it's always worse somewhere else. =D

Something I always find funny is that two or three weeks ago we were enjoying temperatures in the mid teens. Don't like the weather in PG? Wait five minutes, it'll change.

Here in New York you get all seasons in one day. Snow, Rain, Wind, and boiling heat. ^^ You would die in Israel wouldn't ya Voiceless

I would die, Fox. From what I've been told, Israel's way too damn hot for me.

Bison are not warm weather animals. I find solace in -15 degree highs (both systems, btw).

The way I see it, you can always put extra layers on if you're cold but if you're down to your skivvies and still roasting like a stuck pig, you're kinda screwed.

Bison is the only nick I've ever been given that I was proud of. I got the name Freshman year at bible college during the opening weekend. I was really shy about being in a new place and all that and when one of the Juniors asked me my name I kinda mumbled it. My last name (Bystrom) sounded like Bison and it stuck from there. It got to the point that someone would call me Bison and I'd respond with a little grunt, which is the sound what we figured bison made.

I'll still answer to Bison, but people rarely call me that anymore.

The more research I did on the topic, the more I found out that I kinda AM like a bison. Big, fuzzy, gentle giants that are matriarchal in nature (my mom rules our house =P) and extremely protective of those in their herd.

And they're not buffalo. Buffalo are European and African cows. Bison are related (being bovids) but purely unique to North America. The meat is better for you (leaner and WAY tastier) and quite frankly, they're cute. =P

yeah, my waterpolo and swim team started calling me Yeti because I don't get cold and I'm hairy and Yeti is shorter than Abdonimable Snowman... I started using it as my call sign for any flight simulators that I played and its just stuck. ADD rocks!!!!

I'm Doogal at my school. My friend came up with it on the fly and started nicknaming people. Only two of them stuck though, mine included. Then we found out it was from a movie about a dog.

...A fuzzy one.

They are both very hairy with long hair... I am fuzzy....
