one downside to turning them into goblins, it's harder to tell who's who.

I'd have to agree; "That's Piff?"

I thought it was Velvet. It just doesn't look like Piff without his thin body and mask visible.

And I get that feeling of "Once in a blue moon joy" when I go to the shooting range.

What?

Thank you, Jaydub. I'd have just posted a link to the original strip.

Take a closer look, people. Piff still has the mask, and a black tip to his tail. He also wears an artist's apron, which is clearly visible in the first two frames.

I just wonder why Piff wasn't there with Lily during the carving.

Perhaps she planned it that way so that he wouldn't take over the project.

Actually, you can't see his mask in the comic, as his face isn't showing in the first 2 frames, and his apron isn't that easily noticed in the first frame; the bottom of the apron almost looks like part of some kind of shoes/boots if you don't notice the tie string around his back (which also looks like the lines of pants than a tie string).

And although he does have that splotch of paint on his tail, it's easily overlooked, due to that all the goblins looks much more similar than they did as the posse. Since the comic has no color, you can't see the paint splotches on his apron, and without his face visible, you can't see his mask. Since those are his defining points now, it makes it harder to see unless you're really looking for the details.

Well, I only mentioned the mask to show it hadn't gone.

I guess recognition of the posse is going to be a matter of personal perception and Ralph's skills.

well, just to avoid lets get some things to look for in the future, lets see

Sheldon should be pretty easy, he's still got a shell
Velvet has on one piece PJs
Slick's got a jacket and pants, two seperate pieces should be easier to identify
Gunther's got a pot for a hat, doesn't get too much easier then that
Zoot's got a popcorn hat and no shirt
Morty's still got that top hat (why is it that most cartoon vultures (well, he used to be one) are always wearing tophats?)
Piff's tail is gooped in paint (guess he ran out of brushes)

dunno if this helps anyone but me but I figured it'd be worth the effort.
I still say the doctor did it....

It's an undertaker joke.

To me? No, it's not Piff. It's another character, using his name. Just as all the other goblins are.

Goblin Hollow ended, to me, when the toulpas died. It's a different strip, now, merely using the same name(s), and not only has to earn my interest again, but actively fight against my dislike of it for trying to falsly claim to be what it no longer is, the 'Goblin Hollow' strip.

:(

I dunno, Skip. So far I see little practical difference aside from their appearances.
